Well, I had the good fortune of being able to go to Chalk it up Billiards last night to see the exhibition put on by these guys. Chalk it up was a nice room in Manteno that I previously did not know was there.
Earl and John put on a nice show with Earl hitting some good trick shots, and making some difficult stroke shots. John played a little straight pool , and then played a local in a race to 6 in 9 ball. The local played well, but John still beat him 6-0. I had the good fortune of being John's first partner playing scotch doubles. I missed an easy 2 and a harder 3, but eventually made the 6. We won the game after my opponent missed a straight in 9 and John cleaned it up.
The guys stayed after for signatures and pictures and made the whole thing a nice evening. Its nice how accessible pro players are. Both were great ambassadors of the sport. I will have to try and make the $5 8 ball tournament one of these fridays, and will definately come to another event if Chalk it up has one.
