The interview is another example of why I believe Earl fights so hard sometimes he gets out of line without thinking it. He could of said a lot of off putting things but instead was completely complimentary of SVB and what he felt went on. How could you not respect that?
In battle I look at it much like when Kobe slams the ball on the court or knocks over a chair on the way to the bench. I don't agree with all he does but I think I understand it.

I disagree. When Earl lost to Shane on TAR, he was very gracious. He even went a far as saying that Shane could break his US Open record.
A bigger table helps to have faster cloth on the rails, of course I don't know why they wouldn't just put 760 on the whole table though....

That's acutally how I'd want it, if I had to travel the cue ball 100 feet per game. But that would defeat Earl's not-so-secret gameplan
It's interesting they went to the trouble though. The commentators mentioned that the rails seemed a little less lively than they could be. When they do the next one I'd love to see springy rails (and normal pockets) if not the faster cloth.
10ft snooker tables....hard to give them away, let alone sell one. 10ft billiards table....try at least 2" thick slates...not going to see that in a one piece slate....unless YOU plan on setting it up
...besides that...totally different cloth than Simonis 860. A 5x10 pocket table needs to be just that, and a 5x10 billiards table needs to be just that as well. Most people have no idea what goes into designing or building a pool table, but it's always easier to say "Diamond should...."

Besides the design element, it would take a major investment in changing the manufacturing line to accomodate 10 foot tables. What would be the return on investment? I don't imagine that there's a big market for 10 footers. But you never know - Diamond could come out with a 10 foot table, but I doubt it.
