Not that it really matters to me, I'll always be a fan of Earl short cue or not, but in lite of the some recent threads with some very heated arguments about Earl and short jump cues, I wanted to post this video of Earl using a short jump cue.

Earl is one of the best short cue jumpers in the world. He does not like the cue but he is deadly accurate with it. It was my cue he used and used it well.
 
You want to hear of a sick shot. When Earl was living with me for a few months I had a Gold Crown 1 in my garage that he was practicing on. It was 4 1/2 inch pockets and Granido (not sure of the spelling) cloth for the IPT tournaments. Earl practices may be 6 to 12 hours every day. I used to come up from work or better late at night and watch the most unbelievable shots I have ever seen in pool. I once saw him draw a spot shot from the kitchen to the back rail. The cue drew into the rail and fought to move off the rail and backwards at the same time and made a J type roll. It was not anything I had ever witnessed before on a pool table and I have been playing 38 years and have seen all the best players of our times. This is only one of the hundreds of shots he has made that is unbelievable.
 
Earl is the man

Brings a totally NEW MEANING to the word sportsmanship. You gotta love it though. What if you were in Earl's shoes? How would you have been able to handle all that $ht? I applaud Earl for standing up.
