Early 80's Scruggs for sale

According to Mike Cochran, this cue was constructed around 82-83 for a good friend of his and Tim's
Macassar ebony butt with ivory inlays
BEM forearm with ebony points and rare beautiful bridged veneers
Butt weighs 15.1 oz.
2 shafts w/ ivory ferrules, both 4.2 oz. not sure of diameter but guess between 12.75 and 13
flawless boarshide leather wrap by Mike Capone
piloted 5/16x14 micarta joint
98 percent original condition
not interested in trades at this time

Thats a sweet piece you got there! I love the early Scruggs cues as I play with one myself. Can I ask, are the points even? How many shafts and what are the diameters? How does micarta feel compared to ss or ivory, I am quite curious? You can pm me answeres if you wish... thanks :) Wish I had something to offer :frown:

Yes, the points are dead even. I dont know what to tell you micarta joints hit like. I would say somewhere between phenolic and ivory. Specs have been edited at the top of the thread...

Jeramy said this cue plays really nice! He just had too many cues and picked a few to sell. It was the one in the bunch that he really didn't want to let go of!

Yes it does Nick. I was shocked how sweet the micarta joint plays. This cue is pristine too...

Scruggs bridged veneers
