EBAY Brunswick 1940 rainbow cue ends 2hrs

http://cgi.ebay.com/Tru-Skill-Brunswick-Two-Piece-RAINBOW-CUE-1940s-/110640654074?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c2b266fa#ht_1376wt_1139

FYI Nice condition 1940 full splice Rainbow cue up for 2 more hrs, bidding at $340. I don't know anything about this one, but it is an interesting and very clean looking piece. Someone here may be into these.

Let me help you out here, the cue in that auction is not a Rambow cue, in my opinion. However, it is interesting I have never seen a True Skill cue made by Brunswick or a Decal like the one on that cue.

But just to set things straight, from the bumper design and other features the cue was made in the 1950's not the 1940's.

Take care

Brunswick True Skill cue

I have never seen one of these, only heard of one. If the pic is not still on ebay from the ended auction, did anyone keep a photo of this cue for their files? I would like to see it.

i had one

i had a butterfly antique brunswick one piece like that when i first started playing, didn't know anything about cues at the time it was dead straight and in excellent condition until i cut it in half and attempted to make it into a two piece....LOL! basically turned it into a pile of crap and threw it away.

I sent the seller a note to that effect when he first put it up - my dating was based primarily on the font of 'Brunswick' in the label, but as you noted, other features give it away as well.

I'm almost certain he's wrong, but he does own a lot of vintage cues and has a lot of knowledge about Rambow's shop. But he also subscribes to the theory that any Hoppe Pro with an ivory ring was probably made by Rambow, and we all know that isn't true (unless Rambow had about 20 arms and worked 20 hours a day).

another version of canadian tru skil

my cue only has one visible l in skill checked with 10x magnifier cant see another l?
