Ebay Scam alert 3/20/05

By the way, I would alert Ebay, but I'm not sure how to go about this? Anyone know a method to alert them to potential fraud?

Definitley a scam,,,,I. D. theft from jfkline and photo theft from iusedtoberich,,,I alerted eBay,,,they act fast on my notices,,,hope they do this time before someone bids and gets screwed !!!
 
I just got home from the expo and saw an email from Doug. Good looking out guys. I definetely did not relist the cue. The link was already dead when I checked it. I spent a lot of time putting my screen name in the middle of each picture. Did they try to black it out? Or did they just leave it as is?

Nah they did not black out the pics. Your name was still there in big black letters making the guy who tried the scam look like a tool. :)
 
I had a link to a site that was for picture ID. You could put your ID on the picture to protect it from being used. I lost the link when my old computer crashed. Does anyone have it. I got the link off of one of the billiard forums. Can't remeber what thread or forum it was from.

putting a fraud/scam on a public forum is a good way to alert the vigilantes,,,

Scams SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I was not scammed, in more of the sense bought two items from different buyers that were mis-represented. It kills you when you receive this shiaite after being pretty excited you have a new cue to hit with. Anyway ebay, buyer beware always!!!
 
I think it was Scot from Proficient Billiards that had a great idea to try and avoid this.
Contact the seller and ask him to send a picture that currently is not listed. Most likely, if they can't generate one, they don't have the equipment. Just thought that was a great idea.
