Here is another Ebay scam. There is a seller "Bishop3691" trying to sell a so called "new" Varney j/b. Here is the deal...I just spoke to the owner of the cue & he informed me it was stolen recently. The cue was a BLEM cue made from scraps that I had made years ago for a friend that couldn't afford to buy one. The seller, Bishop3691, is trying to sell it as new. Of course he isn't going to be able to sell it as he just signed up on ebay on May 4, 08....and he has some vague crappy blk & white pics. Here is the kicker....I know a Bishop and just had a face to face visit with him minutes ago. He swore to me that he is NOT Bishop3691. I have no desire to play he said, she said or play detective. I just wanted to let everyone know that the cue is indeed stolen & Bishop3691 is a fraud. I've never dealt with Ebay & have no clue as to how things work there. I think someone needs to let ebay know its a stolen cue so they can halt the auction & take appropriate action.

No jump break for sale on e-bay. Just a Varney Hustler cue.

This is a new Kevin Varney hand made Jump Break Cue! Very unique and very nice. I already have one and won this one in a pool game. I know Kevin Varney personnally and can get verification if needed. Do you remember me? I was in Charlotte for 3 months about 6 years ago at Mothers Billiards. I had a wrapless Hurricane break jump you kept attempting to get from me.

Deleted this line.. Maybe should not have posted it in public..

Hung around Bruce and Ron Park.. Ran around with Katie for a little bit.. What ever became of that girl? This is when Doug Young was staying there and dating Jeff Peel's niece or whatever she was to him..

imagine a scam on ebay. that is rare rofl . good call kevin and a good warning for az'ers . hopefully this will be tracked down to the deadbeat

Took me outside and showed me some guns in the trunk of your car. Said if I wanted to live there I would need one of those. heh..

I remember you Josh....how have you been? What I said was if you wanted to survive winning all that cheese then you needed one of those in your pocket. Gunfire at Mothers was all too common. I do miss the joint though....a real action room. Ron is still Ron...I just spoke to Bruce the other day...he hangs at the Green Room in Pineville now. If I'm not mistaken Katie is now running with Mike Davis.;) Jeff owns Breakers in Rock Hill now...so the next time you travel through.;) If you bump into Jr tell him I said hello....that kid is a champ!!!:)

When I think of Ron all I can think of is his line of "How you doin" hahaa
I liked Ron..

and yeah during the period I was there Mothers was a rough place.. Crazy place and for sure crazy on the weekends.. But you could always find a tonk game in the back at night.. and I liked that.. It seemed like a fun place if you knew the ropes..

But if you were a little lost it might have been dangerous.. heh

This guy is too much. He makes it sound like him and Kevin are best friends. That Bishop sounds familiar.

Its' probably the same guy and they do know each other. Varney said he knows a Bishop, and the seller is from NC.. But of course the Bishop Varney knows wouldn't admit to that being him if it was.

If he really stold it I can't believe the guy would go to ebay and say he knows Kevin..

I think he did say he won the cue though.. So maybe it was stolen and he won it from the person who stole it? Just a thought..

That is usually the case. The guy that steals the cue sells it or in this case loses it in a pool game, and the guy that ends up with it doesn't know. The deal is odd though.
 
If its the Bishop that plays in my Friday night tournaments and he won the cue he was playing a week or drunk sucker.--Leonard

Thats the same Bishop I had a chat with....I'm with Leonard. Small chance he beats anyone. Didn't your wife beat him Lenny? Nice kid though...at least I thought so up until tonight. I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt...he looked me in the eye & swore it was NOT him. Strange though that someone uses his name...and he is the ONLY Bishop I know. What do you think Lenny?
