Ebay seller won't sell

Just thinking out loud, but at what stage do the goods legally become mine? The seller offered them as an open auction, I won the bid, and I paid instantly - doesn't that mean ownership of the goods transfers instantly to me?
If I can ask, what kind of cues were they? Sounds like you really want these cues. At this point you can't even be sure the cues are what he says condition etc.

I really, really want the cues though!

Face it...he is NOT going to honor the sale and you are NOT going to get the cues.

Get your money back, file the issue with Ebay so they can take a look at it...they MAY suspend his account for a while, but I would not count on it.

You are NOT going to get the cues...get your money back and move on.

I doubt there will be any issue getting the money back. The seller wants to not sell and return the money I assume.

You can file with ebay and paypal all day long... but if the $ is not there...you will not get it back. If the seller has the $ sitting in his paypal account, they can zap it. If it is backed by a good credit card, you can get it that way. If this seller sells alot on ebay and is in good standing but the $ is not there, PayPal can run the sellers account negative and refund the buyer. Otherwise, unfortunately, you may be SOL. Leave Negative Feedback to warn other buyers before you file a claim. Once a claim is filed...feedback can no longer be left.

You should be happy you didn't get skrewed and leave it at that.

As inferrred before, if he could somehow me 'made' to complete the deal, it prob wouldn't end well for you.

When things like that happen to me i chalk it up that it was probably better that i didnt get what i bought.Probably was warped anyway and the case would have fell apart.
Another deal will come through.

He's reasonably well known over here, and I've managed to track him down to other websites etc, so it's disappointing to hear a proper player could do this. I hear he has health problems, so has had to quit playing - I would have cut him some slack had he not tried to BS me.

How about letting us know who he is so no one else gets (or doesn't get) the shaft?

At a minimum I might suggest letting the members here know what sort of cues these were. If this anonymous seller puts them up again, we should be able to fill in the blanks to figure out who it is.

That is partially incorrect.

Last several transactions I did with Ebay selling and Paypal... the money remained frozen with Paypal UNTIL the buyer gave feedback.

Dont know if thats changed recently, but thats how it worked for me.
