Ebony Amboynia Ivory

Just to clarify an earlier comment that I made about "amboyna is a fragile wood". When I first started working with Doug in his shop, one day I was looking at some amboyna point stock that had been cut. As I was holding it and turning it around I snapped the end off of it, making it a worthless piece of point stock.

This comment is by no means degrading amboyna. It's a good wood to work with, looks great, as you can see in the photos of Doug's cue.

I'm telling you all now, ALL cuemakers start out as "unknown", but before you know it, their on the hot list. Doug has learned from many of the current "hot list" cuemakers and has put many years into fine tuning his cues to what they are today. Pick up on of Doug's cues now while the prices are reasonable and watch your investment pay for itself in the future. Take a look at Gilbert, Blackcreek, Hill's, just to name a few of lately!
