Ed Young Question

I think you will get better response in main forum.
Sorry I have not gotten back to you, but I do not know what to say. Another friend of mine, Tank, has been trying to get Ed to finish up a cue for him for quite some time and I have tried to intercede, to no avail. I have not seen Ed in a while and have two cues to be built by him for me, as well.
About 7 or 8 years ago I ordered a cue from Ed Young. I paid a $500. deposit. I was given an estimated delivery date of about 10 months. I didn't bug him until that time had well expired. Then, each time I contacted him he promised to complete the cue within a few weeks. That went on and on for a couple of years. During that time he became harder and harder to contact. I got sick of him and I didn't think I would ever get a cue or my deposit back... so I sent him an eMail telling him to keep my deposit and cancel the order. He chose to do just that, to keep my deposit. It was well worth it to me to get rid of him since I was convinced I'd never get my money back.

I am also out a deposit for a cue order from Ed. Can anything be done? He sure won't answer his email or phone.
Update: Ed contacted me on 11/3 and said he would be finishing up on my cue soon. I will post pics when I receive the cue. Thank you "Wawacue" for helping us get in contact with Ed. (Rep for you)

I too, have a friend who lost a $1000 to Ed about 6 years ago...... It is a shame but it is common practice of most of the highly sought after cue makers..... The only people who get cues from these asses are the ones who can afford to fly to their shops every month and ride the cuemaker like a jockey, showering them with gifts in the hopes of getting a cue or even just a polaroid with the cuemaker holding your cue in the pic...........
If you want a nice cue call Ernie Gutierrez (Ginacue), he is not a BS artist.......... great player's cues and always delivered on time and PS he actually likes money so he will make arrangements to try and build what ever you want.
