I had fun watching the MEZZ WEST STATE TOUR stop at the Plush Pocket. I want to thank Daniel at POVPOOL for streaming the event.

For those of you out there and you know who you are please dig down and contribute to POVPOOL , so we can continue to watch the game we love without even leaving the house.

We need to support POVPOOL.
 
Caveat. Efren & Busty had flown in from the Philippines the night before and went directly to Dante's room in Carson. A few hours sleep and then drive to Northridge. Anyone who has done any international travel through several time zones knows that you don't arrive at your destination refreshed--even if you are lucky enough to fly 1st Class. Did "Edgie" beat them--absolutely--at their best--absolutely not.

That said, it is impossible not to be impressed by Geronimo's game and especially his composure. No one has to like matching up with him regardless of the circumstances.

I played Busty the night before and he had 4 break and runs out of the five he broke...

He was most assuredly in top form while playing in that event.

He beat me to be guaranteed the money on the winners side and had plenty of time to rest that night before playing the next day when he played Geronimo.

I may be mistaken but did you not tangle with Edgie a few weeks back? In fact you may have got the better of that match:cool:

I was able to beat him 7-5. We both played well, I think the fact that the table we were playing on wasn't breaking well even with the turtle rack may have had something to do with that. I got a few of his breaks and he got a couple of racks that I broke.

Neither of us missed many balls and I came out on top of a couple of safety battles. Every time he missed I was able to capitalize on it though and I played a couple of two way shots when I missed and got fortunate rolls a couple of other times. I came out on top of the safety battles between me and busty too, but I missed a few balls and let him get free stroking and that was all she wrote.

I add, new player, pros do not know him well! they lowered their guard a bit! let him play again with one of them now! no chance for him, he is exposed! just like other young players!
 
I've watched Edgy play about half a dozen matches now (thanks POVPOOL!) and he is a strong short stop. I suspect he'll season quickly as a pro.

He's from the Philippines. I'd bet they know who he is.
 
geronimo vs. schimdt

i was willing to stake john schmidt against geronimo in victorville on a new diamond blue label pro am playing some 9 ball but they wont play on the diamond, hmmmm. just trying to get john a workout before the open!!! same conditions and equip. in vir.my horse dont play much, and not alot of guys lining up to play this guy. pool is too tough ill go play poker tonight !!!! gary henry owner of garys victor billiards.
