But how does it play?!

Well, I played with this cue, and the BJX in TAP league tonight and I have to say that I love the balance and feel of the cue. I was able to pick it up and not have much adjustment at all.

I am horrible about describing the hit of cues but the hit is definitely on the firm side, which is what I like, and I was able to effortlessly move the cueball (although there's not much moving it on a damn barbox...lol). I didn't get a chance to jump with the jump cue or use the extension but I will try to give better feedback when I've had a little more time to get to know the cue! Sorry for not posting the pics sooner, but I just got home!

super cue!
super scrimwork!
jenn see it yet?

I don't think so. I'm going to post some more pics that I just took of the BJX and the two together and then I'm going to post a link to this thread in Jenn's forum.

Simply magnificient. :)

I heard Edwin built a robot who does all his scrim work now, go figure technology has come a long way over on that lil island.

Of the three, I like Lee's scrimwork best. There's a "fantasy" side to the artwork. I've seen freehand scrimwork being done infront of me and believe me, it demands so much work, control and concentration. Congratulations!!!

Just beautiful, Zack. You must be a proud papa! :D

Monski is right....that scrim of Jeanette is stunning.

Zack-

They turned out great! That ivory joint is super white! Did you get the 240 shafts? I think you mentioned that earlier in another post. Also, is that leather lizard or lizard lizard?

I am happy for you. I think I need to email ER to see where things stand with the line.

The photos make the joint look whiter than what it actually is. I think the cues came out great as well. The scrim work is just awesome and the cue is absolutely stunning in person!

I didn't get the ER240 shafts but the shafts that I did get come with the carbon fiber core in the end. In the original post about this I believe that Edwin said he was going to use embossed leather for the wraps.

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words thus far. I can't wait to see other cues of the series!

Great

It is just that color of the wrap makes it look like actual lizard. Great looking cue. Like the matching break cue. I really like the whole composition- like I said earlier- the red tones really make it work.

The robot will probably make identical scrims of the photographs or artworks. Nothing against that but I compare this kind of scrimm work to an artist doing a charcoal portrait/drawing or a painting. The scrims on Zeeders cue definitely show the human factor to the work which in my opinion creates it own uniqueness. But if the idea is to make exact copies/replicas, well that (robot) will work too. ;)
