Efren Reyes current cue?

I was at Steinway for earl match and he was using a mezz.....still not
Sure if it was an LD shaft on I tho...

He plays with a cue Mezz made to his specs, 60" united joint, has his signature on it. The cue is 20.7oz (i saw on TAR podcast. The shaft is conventional maple shaft, 12mm also his spec.

its made in the same factory as Mezz, but there is no Mezz name on the cue. Its basically a china cue with efrens name on it.

His cue looks like the same one he has been using for quite a while.

Efren doesn't like LD shafts

I can vouch for that.

I once hit some balls with Efren's playing cue a few years ago and it was his regular playing cue and it squirted the cue ball at least as much as a bar cue, although it was 12mm or less. You could slip your fingernail between the ferrule and the shaft.

In his 9-Ball match last night with Shane, Eften changed cues after the break. He lost 14 of 25 games with the regular cue before the break. After switching cues, he lost 11 of 16 games after the break.

The second cue had points above and below the wrapless maple handle. I do not know who made it.

Not surprised to hear that he changed cues. He does it often and is supposedly
very superstitious and will change cues if he's not shooting good.
I guess that indicates that he himself does not belief what's been said here so
many times, that it's not the arrow it's the Indian.
He apparently doesn't seem to fully agree.

:sorry:

Anyone knows what he is using now? Sponsorship?
Whatever he gets handed. No deal afaik. Last spon. deal he had was with Mezz and that's been a minute. I've watched him on some of the 'pino gambling streams and uses different stuff. He doesn't really care. Plays the same with anything.
