Efren Reyes V's Scott Frost 1 pocket Help.

Just a thought.

I know, I spoke with TAR yesterday about it. I am going to see if Erfren can come back to PHX after Vegas and do it then but if he can't I have no choice as i am not sure when Efren will be in town again. Unfortunate but TAR and I are on the same page and do not want to conflict our events. TAR would like to come and work with us on the Efren/Frost match if we can re arrange. Have fun in KC

you could work it into the "Desert Shoot-out ? You would have all the players here at a well attended event ($25,000 added) at a great venue. Tables would be set up for good viewing at
the Sheraton Crescent. (a class operation)
Jay Helfert will be involved in running the event, you might give him a call
and see if it could work.

I have spoken to Chuck a few times over the last few days about it and it would be too difficult to try and do it at the same time as the shootout. I know it is unfortunate but we also lose a little sponsorship $$ by not holding it at a pool room. Unfortunatley I need that money to make it happen also. Chuck is a great guy and we get along very well we have the same intentions for the Phoenix area and we are both doing what we can. I think that him doing the shootout is one of the best things to happen to our area in a long time. JMO. I should have this dialed in by the end of the week and then I will be working on promoting it as best I can. I hope you can make it out to see us at the event.

I spoke to Scott yesterday and he said even race to 8. I'm cool with whatever they are cool with. I just want to be careful of going on too long as those games can. To the average guy it could get boring ya know?

i'm back but am leaving again monday for germany, the implant slipped out and i cant walk(hardly) 100% cant play pool now i have been getting worse everyday, i did play 10 days ago now I cant at all, so i'm going to leave while I can travel, I get a operation on next friday to extract the implant that slipped out. I will be back ASAP, i'm pissed to say the least. I will be on AZ while i'm in germany except from the 4th to the 9th because i'll be in the hospital. I was the fat ugly guy sitting with all the pretty girls at the M. Cup, most of the time I spent in the players room, they did a couple interviews-it was kinda fun. I am just trying to make pool fun-i'm light hearted about it.

I don't have the first clue how you do that kind of thing, I have been talking with someone on doing the taping for a DVD and so maybe you could talk with him and that may work. If you think you can do it and do a good job I don't see a problem with it. Thank you for your help, need to get the prize $$ together.

How are they going to play even? I watched Efren play Scott at the 2007 DCC giving him 9-7 and he beat him easily. I think he beat him about 13 in row.

Does anybody agree with me that this is not an even match? Not taking anything away from Scott as he is a very good one pocket player, but Efren is tops.

I have a deal for the ultimate 1 pocket match. The Magician V's the Freezer. May 3rd 2008. I have been asked about making this happen so many times and finally all the pieces are in place. I have a short amount of time to make this happen and be able to get all sponsors the recognition they deserve for their help. This will be a $5,000.00 challenge match Held in the Phoenix area. I need help to finish this up and totally secure that it will happen. I need help from anyone in or out the business that is willing to help with sponsorship dollars. This event will be taped and released on DVD due to popular demand. You will be able to hang you companies banner at the event and will also get recognition on all marketing efforts. i.e flyers, pool related websites, pool and billiards news magazines and promo emails. I am hoping to get local TV involved also but can't promise what thwy will cover. Your sponsorship for this event will also give you VIP seating to the event for at least 2 people (depending on your sponsorship $ amount) You will also get a personal meet and greet with the players.

I know man, that is a problem that I may encounter. Starting tomorrow I will be working on sponsorships in a big way and hopr that for once you are not right I had a great meeting today with the owners of Kolby's Corner Pocket and Scott Frost. I feel confident but I also appreciate what you are saying. Please keep your fingers crossed for me this week and if anyone wants to help out or knows anyone please shoot me an email. My email is at the beginning of this thread. I would also like to thank all the people on here who have offered help annd suggestions for this event. I have spoken to many of the top pros and all recognize Scott in the 1 pckt arena. This means TO ME anyway that this is a match up that could go either way. We have soo many things going on that weekend with Earl and the Efren & Scott deal, it's going to be hard to keep my mind straight. Again we will have a DVD of the match and it will be LIVE Streamed for free viewing. I will let you know more details this week on that. The responses I have had to this are amazing and I hope that all the people who wanted to se this get to see it, Liveat Kolby's or live on the net.

I agree Joyner and Frost might be a tighter match,but Frost is number 2 in the world in 1 pocket so he is facing number 1 with playing Efren Reyes,I think it will be a good match up and some great one pocket.
