Any chance of getting you to list the prices?

They machine easily. Ribbons off. They are hard but not grainy and are a nice smooth ferrule. At first glace, they look like ivory.

Just like..........

Playstation3...............had too camp out in line for three days and dodge bullets to be able to get some!!

As mentioned........ribbons off nice... but not super soft. Definately softer than LBM. I checked the tech sheets for the ratings on both but one is in SAE and the other is metric and I really couldn't figure anything out from comparing the two. Softer than real ivory also, IMO.......
Polishes pretty easy and if nessecary for your application it can be thermo molded with boiling water. Doubt any of us will ever need to do that for ferrules or joints but I guess that kind of gives you an idea of the hardness.
I like it for myself so far. Still waitng on some outside opinions to come back.

I put one on at the Super Billiards Expo last year, and it did machine nice, very nice, and polished like no other, but the hit was very soft in my opinion. Is this where you bought yours Dave?

Only place you can get it right now. Believe me I tried other avenues.

Your definately right though.......if you like the *tink* in your stroke your not going to get from this product.

The only place to get it is through Vic Stein at Blatt's. They are the only authorized American dealer.

Does anyone have a refferance to what this material costs for purchase? A few months ago I was trying to find some on the web and it looked as if it could only be purchased at one place and if I was reading the reading the exchange rates correctly these people were realy proud of their material. Can't hardly imagine a plastic being this expensive to manufacture. I talked to Dale (PDCUE) last night and he told me that Vic stein had told him the material would run around 3.00 for a piece long enough to make a ferrule. I thought that I had figured out that ferrule size material was like 130.00 a foot plus shipping from Germany. That's the reason I looked no farther into the material. Although 30.00 a ft. is very high it's a whole lot better than 130.00 in my opinion.

I don't think so............but some like the softer sounds......kind of like going from rocknroll to smooth jazz!
They still have the original tips on those? Can't get those anymore...if you can they are not cheap. Ivory ferrules for sure!
