Dear IPT Players and Qualifier Entrants,

IPT Updates:

All installment payments will be sent to players and qualifier entrants at the beginning of next week. We apologize for the delay in getting these payments out. The next payments are planned to go out in the middle-to-end of January. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. We appreciate all of the support and letters of encouragement from you players while we are making good on all of these payments.

As you know, the business model for the IPT has been in the process of being reconfigured. A fully revised business model and business plan for the IPT is close to completion. This new business model and IPT business plan will be unveiled in January. So far, the redesigned business model shows potential as a viable, sustainable, and profitable business. I will have more details for you in January. Right now, we are focusing on getting out this next round of checks before the holidays.

Please note that the exciting heads up match between Johnny Archer and Earl Strickland, December 19th, at 7pm (central), is coming up quickly. This match will be broadcast live on the IPT web site. It is also absolutely free for anyone in the world to watch. There will be live commentary by Mike Sigel and Grady Mathews. The production quality should be excellent. Please heavily promote this match and get as many people to watch as possible.

More updates will come soon. I wish everyone a very happy holiday season.

Grady is like most pool players in that he will enjoy watching and talking about the match and will have the bonus of getting paid to do it. How much better can it get and I wouldn't care who's money paid me.

WHERE is this challenge match going to take place? Have they even said?

There's nothing that I can find on the IPT site about the physical location.

I would never accept a dime from Kevin Trudeau under any circumstances for any reason. I know how he makes his money and from whom - I'd rather starve than to be part of his money chain.

It's called having morals and having character, and when faced with what is right and what is wrong - having the discernment to know the difference. I wouldn't trade that for a pay day, no matter who offered it or how much.

Kevin is out there again in the world of pocket billiards and he's purchasing souls.

IMO, he's buying cheap.

If that offends anyone that is reading this, it means you have completely understood what I just wrote and it hit home.



Pool can survive, stay alive, and thrive WITHOUT Kevin Trudeau and his money.

In the world of pool, all of the pieces of the puzzle are presently there. We just need the "right people" to put the puzzle together. I will now sit back and watch many of those same "right people" flip back over to the IPT bandwagon - many of them saying, "Well you never know how its gonna turn out... I'm just-a-hoping for the best. I'm-a-hopin'-and-a-prayin' that it works out, and if it does I want to be a part of it. If it doesn't work out, we won't be any worse off than before KT came along. Who cares if we're just running in circles like a bunch of idiots?"

It boggles the mind.

Grady has spent his life promoting pool and playing this very difficult game for a living. I, for one, cannot fathom trying to raise my family on pool, even with a wild imagination about how good my game could ever be. When you consider the pool players annual prize winnings on a historical basis, it quickly is evident that only a small handful of players each year have made decent money. Maybe they once did better, but in my lifetime, its like maybe 3-5 players a year making 6 figures.

KT is a con man, I am not arguing that point. He cannot be trusted and he is probably gonna fek the players AGAIN. That said, the IPT still has paid out more prize money to the players than any of the tours that I can think of. Despite all the problems, the largest payouts ever have been with the IPT.

I don't hold it against Grady or Earl or Archer for getting back into bed with the charlatan. If they can do something with him that will put Christmas presents under the tree for their families, then I say more power to them.

The majority of the people on this board know a little about how difficult it is for a pool player to survive. I cannot see how you can on the one hand find it forgivable that a player busts people on the road, engages in "business" chopping away backers bankrolls, chops up tournaments and calcuttas and on and on, but find it reprehensible that players actually do an honest days work to get paid, no matter who the employer is.

I hope Grady, Earl, Johnny and the rest all get huge dollars for doing any IPT work. The only thing I ask is that they not complain if they get stiffed since they know going in they are working with a snake.

they're gonna hold it on the moon. they're taking the space shuttle with Phoenix a few days before the match and help load up them "tonnes" of helium.

Ahh what a double edge sword that is....

I see what youre saying... and can agree with it...

but then again....

You need to take a stand at some point or youre just allowing the same thing to happen again and again.

Well my question is this...if they do have another IPT tour start and at the end of the first tourney, will the players be paid right then? If I was still owed money from the last " KT scandal", I would be pissed that they were getting paid before me. "Hope is a wonderful thing...", but KT will ALWAYS be a scheister. JMO.

Dave, I could not have made my feeling any clearer if I wrote that myself.

Unfortunately, until pool imports more sponsors and players that feel the same way, the sport will be for the taking and the buying by the likes of Kevin Trudeau.

Too many people involved in this sport have very short-sighted, selfish, agendas based on the jungle theory, "kill or be killed", and given the nature of the landscape, at the player level, that may be understandable. But from a leadship level, it will just continue to prevent pool from moving forward.

Does the song "Send in the Clowns" come to mind?

Not every game is a dump.
Not every tournament is rigged with deals and savers.
Not every game does a backer get dumped.
Not with every calcutta is somebody getting screwed.

There are a lot of snakes inthe pool halls.
There are more snakes in the courthouse.
THere are more snakes in the State Capital Building.
Lets not even begin to talk about the White House!
The most ruthless and no good SOB I ever met was the Chairman of the corp I worked for. I thought many times in staff meetings that this guy is the most brutal person I ever met.

KT is a snake of the first order and yes they will eventually get stiffed again. People likehim know no other was to live and conduct business. The whole world is fair game to them and they rarely change their attitude or outlook.

The only real emotion we heard from this guy was after the Vegas tournament when he stated that about a dozen players asked him for loans and that he was more than a little ticked off about that. He furtherly stated that they acted as though he were responsible for their car payments or something. This was right after another lie stating the checkbook hadn't arrived.From there, there was only lie after lie to cover his trail.

Not all pool players are bad people or on the take. Some have made some bad choices in life and are now in the twilight of their careers and desperatley trying to figure out how to salvage what they can. Many live by the sword and will dieby the sword. IMO, this is very sad and pool needs this like asubmarine needs a screen door.

Before the players jump on any bandwagon again, it is my hope and wish that they unite and secure some type of representation. If they do this, I would bet KT would close shop and go away. He can't operate like that. Any other plan coming along would be warned that they had better have their ducks in a row.

I agree with Blackjack whole heartedly that this is just very sad,,,,,, again!
