End of DAZN finally?

What about other events the last couple of years? A selection of matches from each?
From what I can tell, yes. I was hoping they’d start with every TV table match from 2024 but I didn’t see that. Maybe it’ll be the case going forward. Maybe it’ll always be a selection.

The URL is https://www.wnttv.com/, not wnt.tv...
Gosh, thank goodness somebody shared this bit of info. Bad advertising on the part of Matchroom to give the impression that it is WNT-dot-TV initially. It should have been more clear.

For those into pool, here's the link to subscribe: https://www.wnttv.com/

For those into snooker, here's the link to subscribe: https://www.wst.tv/videos/subscriptions/

At one time, Matchroom had technicians in India handling their snooker tournament live streams on Matchroom-dot-live, and the streams would buffer and sometimes cut off in the middle of a match and then resume in the middle of a match. What's worse is that they would cut off the live stream sometimes before the match concluded.

I pray Matchroom Pool and Snooker admins have the decency to hire professional technicians who will provide a good service. If I am going to spend $250-plus a year for pool and snooker, the same as my Hulu annual subscription, I do hope the quality and customer service is similar.

Maybe matchroom didn't offer Tuvalu enough money for another domain name, lol. It is not leaving me feeling great seeing the major snafu of marketing wnt.tv this entire time, then not even using it.

Looks like the scoring site, wntlivescores.com, remains separate and requires a separate login. I hope they fix that.

I would guess MR will add more events over time. We'll see.

I certainly am very interested in re-watching great matches or seeing ones I haven't seen. Got a lot of catching up to do being much newer to pro viewing than most of you.

Would be great if MR could show more non TV table matches as well. Not every one, but perhaps every match starting with the final 64 or final 32 in big tournaments.

They've got to find a way to make the shot clock part of most matches, though. Most players play too slow if given the chance. I don't like to watch most matches without a clock unless the two players naturally play fast.

We’ll see how this goes. Matchroom has shown their ability to put on top-tier events, but their strategy for branding and online presence sucks. Half of the time their own website doesn’t even have all of the relevant info people would want to know.

On Matchroom's FB page, it says:

"Who’s already signed up to WNT TV and started watching some archive matches?
We will be adding even more, but let us know what you want to see most!"

AND:

Every Major. Every match. Every ball
🤩

Curious what MR means by "Every match."

Really? Like, every single match in a major?

Previously I was paying $2/month for live broadcasting of both WST and WNT events. While I expected a cost increase eventually, asking me to pay 10x more is a bit much. Especially given that the only way to watch on my tv is to cast from a device, which is always finicky at the best of times.

Pardon what's likely a dumb question, but just to be 100% clear:

If I cough up $100 a year, will I be able to live stream all of Matchroom's upcoming events, like the UK Open, the US Open, etc.? IOW everything that DAZN used to offer?

Is there a list of all those events that will be offered to U. S. customers?

I'm asking this because at first glance it seems too good to be true.

I think it will be the whole enchilada for the US viewers. I'm on the monthly program to start, hedging my bets. I can always change over.

But for those of us who also watch the snooker events -- which have been at times on matchroom.live -- the new WST (World Snooker Tour) stream has to be purchased as well. I think it's 10 GBP per month.

Thanks, Bob. I think I'll start with the monthly, too.

wnttv looks good and I almost signed up until I saw that it doesn't have an APP for IOS or Android. What streaming service in this day and age doesn't take the time to develop an APP so that I can easily watch content on my mobile devices or better yet, use an android or apple TV device.

Please tell me I read that wrong and it works on something other than a web browser ?

Much to my surprise, DAZN will no longer cover pool at all. I figured maybe it would show MR for another year.

Thus I am stuck paying DAZN $10 a month after reupping in November. So they will get another $80 out of me for something they no longer show.

I asked for a cancellation of my account given the circumstances, but they said no as expected. Frankly, I didn't expect DAZN to do the right thing. But I tried. Also filed a complaint with the BBB for the heck of it ...

If you want to rub Matchroom's nose in it, you might also post on the Matchroom Pool Facebook page.

It's interesting that every time there was a thread complaining about DAZN, some people would jump up and say they never had a problem. I think they were lucky. Or just didn't notice their money disappearing.

DAZN Is a predator website. I pray that whoever Matchroom Pool gets to handle the WNT.tv that they have experience and are nothing like DAZN's staff.

I don't disagree with you about their being disgraceful, but this took me about 60 seconds to do just now:

I hope you are not charged again next month for not giving them 30 days' notice.

Also, just to reinforce my thoughts, with all due respect, there's over 4,000 folks who think about: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dazn.com

And then there's this: https://www.bbb.org/us/ny/new-york/...ibutors/dazn-group-ltd-0121-182459/complaints

Seems like quite a few folks have been ripped off by DAZN and/or are not happy with their DAZN experience,. I'm glad you found it okay. :)
