I am endorsing KD cues over any other cue now for overall value, customer service, and especially the hit. Shuff plays with one, and now so do I... and now I am having Kent Davis make me a custom order high end work of art. Go see why with my 26 years of playing experience I fully endorse. I can afford ANY cue, and I choose KD.
 
Excuse the ignorance if this has been revealed, but who are you? This would help with any type of endorsement.

My feedback is 100%, and my reputation points won't fit on a calculator. I am recommending a test hit which is free. Any responsible consumer would recommend a good product. Mark Griffin introduced me to Mr. Davis last year at SBE, and OB Cues let me hit with a KD Cue on their Diamond table there. The cue sells itself, if you try it. There are many fine cuemakers at SBE, and they would all want their product recommended by a satisfied customer. There may very well be a better hitting cue that I didn't take the time to try, so if I didn't try a great product I have only myself to blame. Now if you don't try a great cue that was recommended, you sure can't blame me! Have fun at SBE guys, and try every cue you are allowed to try. A Great product sells itself if given a chance.
 
Thats good to know but my Rep points have been maxed out for quite some time now along with a few hundred or a thousand other posters.

I don't know exactly how much that means in real life. Maybe next time I need to revamp my resume, I will add that I have 2,147,483,647 Green Rep points on AZ Billiards. Yeah, thats the ticket.

I bought a taxi plate a few years ago for something to do for 70K.
It is now worth a quarter mill. I guess I could own the largest collection of Dale Perry cues if I wanted to.

The rep means 0.... even less than 0.

Thanks for recommending to test Kent's cues. The problem is, your prose reads like a poorly written brochure from marketing 101, and now you wont tell us who you are. Again... all this amounts to zero.

Having said that, I will say Kent is a good guy and his cues hit good. Many good players in south Orange county play with them, for a reason.
 
I don't understand why everyone is getting their panties all bunched up. He didn't say he was a professional. He basically said "I am a dude who tried a Kent Davis cue and really liked it. Consider them if you're buying a cue."

Why does it matter who he is? If you would like to try one, do. If you don't want to, guess what...you're not being forced.

The "I" in there is BIG. That "I" infers you are someone, so he was asked, and backed up nothing. Also, did you read that??? I feel like a computer program wrote that. Anyway, different strokes for different folks, but this all feels fishy to me. But go ahead, hit away, they are in fact good cues lol.

I agree with you 100% on both these points. I am nobody, and I agree with your assessment. I also agree with You and the OP about liking Kent's cues. We could probably name some of the same locals that play KD's cues. Because they are very good hitting cues.

Aren't we saying the same thing-You, me and Hungerstrike? What am i missing? It's a personal recommendation-that's all. How do we disagree when we are agreeing?

So the guys on here who are critical of my attempt at positive input also end their criticism with praise for the cues I recommended. Glad you agree. I regret that a simple recommendation could turn into a controversy, so this will be my last post here. Please read my last post again and try every cue that you are allowed to use at SBE, many of the cuemakers came a long way at great expense and also lost production time to show you their product. If you try a cue and like it as much as I do, I hope you'll be allowed to recommend it without having your positive turned into a negative for the person you were trying to help. Sorry Kent, I meant well sir.

I mean, if you are going to say something like that, with that word order, it infers something. So back it up. He didn't. People can't have cake and eat it to. If you want to come in and actually say, "i'm nobody, but i like Kent's cues" that is cool. Anyway, "problem" over :)
 
It was just the way it came off.
I have maxed out points and 100% feedback. I am rich and can afford any cue I want.

Maybe it would have sounded better if you actually gave a short review of what the cue was all about, why you liked it, how much the basic cue sells for etc. You sounded more like you were selling yourself rather than a Kent Davis cue.

That said, you did peak my interest a bit and would like to know more about Kent's cues.
