you know , Micheal Jordan played basketball 'that good' and his agent still had to go to Nike LOOKING for that shoe deal . Think about that while you're lacing up your Jordans (twenty years after they started making them...)

Nope... just a diehard Yankees fan - but I have a lot of respect for Buckner. 22 years in the majors - do some research - the guy has HOF stats. It's a shame that people remember that one play. Stanley's wild pitch is just as much to blame as Buckner's bad hop - and FWIW, I know Bob Stanley - very well. He lived right next door to me when I was kid.

I didnt mean that in a bad way, Blackjack. I'm a huge yankee fan myself. And I know Bill was a .300 hitter, I studied all my baseball cards when I was a kid.

But I also know the guy had to literally leave town after the 1986 ws fiasco against the mets. Thats why I say you have balls. Ain't many Buckner fans around, except maybe some diehard mets fans.
