Eric sent me a PM a few days ago telling me that he would go to the Philly airport to check the scene out and possibly find my luggage.... I told him thanks, however hold off at the time since I couldn't even get through to the baggage department. He lives 1.5 hrs away from the airport and is still telling me he'd be happy to go....

I have called the PHL airport at least 10x a day and didn't get through until last night. I tell the lady on the phone that I am looking for my luggage, and she said, "Do you have any idea how much is here??"

I replied with, "Wait!!! If you see this bag, you'd know it... It's kinda odd shaped, like a black duffel bag, only smaller.." She said to wait, she thinks she knew where it was...... Low and behold, she said, "I have both of your bags right here."

I told her to hold them, and conferenced in Eric. He said he would be there within 2hrs to pick them up, and I told the lady (who confirmed the contents with me) to not let ANYONE but Mr. Eric Hu pick them up. Eric called me a few hours later letting me know that he does infact have my items in hand, and all is just as I left them. I thanked him immensely (and will continue to do so) and asked that he mail them back to me. SWA said they'd be happy to put them on the next plane to Seattle, however with a layover, I think I'd trust Eric more!!!! (saying a lot, I know..) :p

Eric called me this morning to let me know it's all in the mail and will be here tomorrow. Just to speak a bit higher, he came out of pocket the cash to mail all of my items ($100) and I'm having a hard time getting him to take a "reward" of sorts!!!

There are still great people out there, and I consider Eric to be at the top of the pile.... Eric, I cannot thank you enough. It's been really rough as of late, and your generosity just blows me away.

I wanted to wait until I was officially out of the woods and had them in hand, but with the amount of PM's and posts to the original thread, I cannot ignore them all or tell you all, "nothing yet..." when I know damn well it's all coming....

So a big thank you to all for all of your support as well.

DS - can I still get that cue in the next month or so??? :D

Eric has a heart of gold. We had a chance to get together in Los Angleles for a brief time and I agree, he is one hell of a guy. Ross, I am thrilled you got your stuff back.

And you didn't even have to hire a lawyer? Now you have to take back all those nasty things you said about SWA. :p :p

Glad for you bud. Take care. Kudos to Eric Hu, too.

Wow. I had a great night playing pool tonight & then to come home & read this is just the icing on the cake!

Ross, I'm thrilled to hear it's worked out well for you in the end. I know how I'd have felt in your situation. As for Eric, I don't know him but what a gesture! Pure class, I think.

As others have said, it's damn good to be a part of AZB!

Eric my man you are THE MAN. What a great thing you did for one of our own. I'm sure words can't express how grateful Ross is, heck i"m just grateful to be able to call you a friend also. I'm sure if you run for President you'll get all the AZ votes. Since we can share a drink this Buds for you and so is this one and this one and .......oh hell this whole 12 pack is for you... SALUTE

Ross, I sent you my SW to use until your cues came back. Ah Hell, just keep it.

Geez this sounds like miracle on 42 nd street. I'm am very happy for you Ross which was looking like a super bummer. Eric, although I don't personally know him, has been aound for years. To me he has always seemed like a real stand up guy. I'm so happy this ordeal has come to an end and Eric was able to help you.

I was going to offer you one of my cues, you know which one. Not free as Purdy did but a generous offer. Hell now your in the big bucks so its not needed. LOL I just observe and it needed a little more time. It is a very happy event in your life as it as it was in mine a few years ago.

I'd have probably a few thousand in cash and at least 20 cues, ranging from a Viking to a Hercek.... Thanks so much, guys. You all are incredible...

Was the viking really on the low end? LOL glad you got (or are getting) your stuff! nothing replaces your stuff like your stuff, I always say ;)

Great news Ross!!!!

Gotta agree with you. I hung out with Eric a lot at VF this year, and him and his wife are some really great people. Eric is one of the good guys!

Congrats on getting your cues back, Roscoe. What a great feller, Eric must be. Rep for both of you. We've got some great folks here on AZ..

Peace, JBK

Good things happen to good people

I'm just blown away the baggage lady was able to recognize your bags in a huge pile of 10,000!:) :D :)
