How exactly would being honest and calling it "Maciol's first major 9ball semifinal" rather than being dishonest and calling it "Maciol's first major semifinal" promote WPA? Maybe I'm missing something here.

I'm as big an advocate of Matchroom as you'll find anywhere and I've often been mocked for it, but let's add "since when does Matchroom get to decide what the majors are in our sport?"

Since they posted up most of the cash, it’s a hostile take over Stu, like the corporate raiders in the 80’s 😂

On a lighter note, it has been a very enjoyable event. And played to a very high standard.

You are right on principle, but I’ve become immune to the WNT-WPA silliness on how each side ignores the other’s events. I’d be fine with it continuing so long as the BIG DISPUTE is settled.
 
My suggestion to people who are anti deportation, set up a spare room in your home and sponsor someone looking to come to USA Legally, or SHUT UP.

Yes, well said. That's the big picture, but I suspect that a little more mutual respect between all of them needs to be part of the recipe in settling the big dispute.

Yeah, unbelievable recovery by Josh in Rack 12 after hooking himself on the seven. Jumped in the seven and still had to make a tough eight ball, but he was up to it.
 
Pijus has kept his composure and capitalized on a few Filler mistakes. The scratch by Filler made me feel good. It’s the only time I’ve ever identified with Filler as a player! :cool:
 
We've not gotten Filler's A-game in this match, but he has made most of the big shots. At 10-6, you figure he's headed for the finals.
 
... and then there were two. Entering the day, this was the final I expected.

Two of the game's most exciting players will duke it out for the trophy. The winner is .................................... the fans.

The European Open has delivered.
 
filler doesn't lose many finals, and naoyuki is of course the underdog, but if naoyuki breaks like he's been doing he can win. both are fast players feeding of nervous energy, it's going to be fun to watch

Whatever. It's not like MR didn't put on several European Opens and other large tournaments in Germany, along with a Filler Junior tournament, before he snubbed them. They aren't rolling out the red carpet for him any more, unwad your panties and carry on already.
