I think all of us "degenerate" players do. I've been dreaming about pool and billirds as long as I can remember!
The question is though, do you still dream about Sex too?
Of course! Enjoy!
Been doing it since I was in high-school. Now that I'm a basement player, it happens most every night. I envision spot shots, corner-to-corner banks, and all manner of three-cushion shots.
I'm a codger now, yet I never ever suffer insomnia. Thinking there must be more of you.
I worked for 30 years on the assembly line at General Motors. I have been retired for eight years now. About 3 or 4 times a month I have this dream/nightmare that I'm back working on the assembly line, only now the line is running so damn fast that I can't keep up. I'm getting further and further behind and I'm running back and forth from my work station to the automobile I need to be working on carrying a handful of parts and a pneumatic gun, dropping screws and shit all over the floor. The faster I run the further behind I get. My supervisor is all over my ass wanting to know what the hell is going on. Everything's snowballing to the point of total frustration. Eventually I wake up and I'm breathing hard (and sometimes sweating). Most of the time I go back to sleep and damn-it if I don't pick the nightmare up right where it left off.
So.....now when I go back to sleep I think about playing pool to try to replace the nightmare with something pleasing to me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Maniac
Actually I am currently working on a change to my preshot routine and instead of counting sheep I am putting myself to sleep every night going through the routine while pocketing easy shots in my head.....
This a great example of having imagination and visualization build muscle memory!
Yo Maniac -- You ever read a book called Rivethead? Written by a guy who worked the GM line (and was a pal of Michael Moore.)
One of the funniest books I ever read. This is way off topic, but what the hey ... It's my thread.
Happy dreams.
