Ever go to sleep thinking of pool shots?

MANY, MANY, MANY, TIMES!

Some have even been enjoyable moments but most of them have been mistakes I made. The reason I think about them is so if I end up in a similar situation, I don't make the same mistake again.

I do this very often. I always visualize key shots, important outs and game winning shots. On the other side of the coin i also visualize and think about what i did wrong to cost me a game or set. First i visualize what i did wrong. And then i go back and visualize me doing it right and making the shot and getting out.

If I leave the bar while hot or if I wanted to go but couldn't, then I'll spend a while thinking about shots(mostly banks) before I fall asleep. If I'm really in a hurry I'll think about onepocket. ;)

I dream about pool shots all the time.
The naked girls lying on the table usually get in the way tho.

Been doing it since I was in high-school. Now that I'm a basement player, it happens most every night. I envision spot shots, corner-to-corner banks, and all manner of three-cushion shots.

I'm a codger now, yet I never ever suffer insomnia. Thinking there must be more of you.

I did the first 2-3 years I played. I would be sleeping in class and my right arm would jump forward and wake me up, I was shooting in my sleep. It lasted for a while after I was done with school(actually they were done with me), But after a while it just stopped happening.

My mrs has wanted to kill me several times in my sleep because I will talk about pool an awful lot.

I've even had a heated debate in my sleep about various brands of chalk it was that crazy!!! Not that I remember it, but my mrs does and she was egging me on while I was asleep. What a cow LOL!

I actually had a pool dream that instantly improved my game. I went from never being able to break and run to breaking and running a few times a session. I was playing a major TV tournament somewhere and lost to Tony Drago 5-2 (excuse the format lol). But in the losers side I smashed Vincent Facquet 5-0 breaking and running every rack!

Ever since then my approach at the table was more professional, my pattern play was improved and rather than being scared of a runout (the failure of missing an easy ball) I would take the bull by the horns and now I can run out with much improved confidence.

Definately improves your visualisation skills, that is for sure :)

This thread makes me think about the Dude in the Big Lewbowski napping on the rug (which really ties the room together) listening to a tape recording of a PBA bowling tournament...

If I'm lying in bed thinking about pool shots I'm not ready to sleep. Definitely not like "counting sheep" for me

Been doing this for a long long time. Gotta be laying on my left side though LOL cause I am right handed. I have different shots that I shoot, but I keep nailing them until I fall asleep. It actually helps me shoot in reality.

The first 10-12 years i played, i thought of pool shots every night. In fact i polled (we all know how painful that can be) a few hard core players and 99% of the time there was only 3 things that made it to our brains-money, sex, and pool.
