Thinking about changing out my 8' (furniture style) pool table for a 7' bar box as we have mainly bar boxes here and I have a 10' snooker table. Found these on internet for good price. I was wondering if anyone knows about them and how they would compare to a Valley or such table. Also what are the dimensions of a standard 7" bar box?

Here's what I found on the internet:
Berner Billiards Black Widow Spider Pool Table. Available in either 3½' x 7' or 4' x 8' or 4½' x 9' .

•3 piece slate table with 1 inch thick precision diamond ground Brazilian Slate
•Full-profile Master Speed® K-66 cushions, designed to provide accurate angle and ball speed control.
•Heavy Duty Chrome Corners and Side Pocket Castings
•Pearlized rail sights lay out the "Diamond System"
•MDF Rails with high pressure laminate rail cap
•Laminated 3-Ply Cross beams for stability and warp resistance
•Solid Steel main beams 2" wide and 4" deep
•6" Adjustable leg levelers
•Built-in Four Player Rail Score Counters
•Standard with drop pockets on 7 & 8 foot table
•Ball return available as an option on 8 foot & comes standard on 9 foot table
•Ball storage/Ball return box
•10-year manufacturers warranty

The drop pockets on a 7 foot table would turn me off. I'd go with a proven brand suck as Valley or Global. Check Missoula Craigslist.com. There's a coin operated 7 foot table listed for $300. New rubber and Simonis cloth installed will probably cost in the $300 to $500 range (but that may depend on your local table mechanic). Good luck in your quest.

Thanks for the info. I checked Missoula craiglist and did not find that table. I guess I need to look again.

The specs doesn't sound to bad but I wouldn't be crazy about having MDO rails. In my opinion I would much rather have Hardwood for that as it will last much much longer. The bed support sounds beefy but I would want to see it first.
To be quite honest with you I would look at rehabbing a used valley table. Another decent option is Brunswick's Black Wolf 7 ft table. I almost bout one new, but at the last minute decided on a 15 year old Olhausen 8 footer.

(one a side note I noticed when I typed the word "Olhausen" I got the squiggly red line underneath it telling me i spelled it wrong so I checked the suggested spellings and this is what I got [Stockhausen, Munchhausen, Tannhauser and menopause] Really menopause? Where did that come from?)

Standard bar box 7ft is 40" x 80" playing surface. Why not consider getting a table that's used in most all the Vegas league play offs, a Diamond 7ft ProAm? Sooner or later they'll start showing up in Montana, and you'll be way ahead of the game when they do;)

Not sure I have that much money available!

Glen...Diamonds are used for the BCAPL nationals, but VNEA and APA will always be using Valley BB's...even though the Diamond table is superior.
