Games and Things is having it's anniversary celebration this weekend and Ewa will be onsite signing autographs, shooting trickshots, and playing with fans... If you are in the area you need to stop by... She is always a class act....

Sounds like a great time. With Ewa in the house, there's sure to be a lot of fun. She's great in person. I've seen her several times in exhibitions, and everybody has a blast.
Please post some pictures. I'd love to see this happening, but I can't make it to Knoxville. So, for the inquiring minds back home, we want photos, which will enable us to enjoy the event, too.

Can't stand her.
Sorry, but I just can't keep my mouth shut about Ewa Mataya. I noticed quite a few of you guys loved her and maybe she is lovable when she is in her element. HOWEVER I have seen her out of her element in Vegas. She was down at the low level parking with her hubbie waiting for a cab with lots of other poolplayers hanging around. The Riviera. We tried to engage her politely and she totally blew us off. Totally meaning nothing, no talk, thank you, nothing. I see ladies like her and the Black Widow as representing pool. Jeanette is the real sweetheart, hell she plays in the gambling room at 2 am. Allison and Karen are always polite to everyone. Ewa is a horrible announcer, shes just riding the coattails of her much more knowledgeable hubbie. And someone banks a ball and its the shot of the match, a simple bank!! I am no pro and I can predict the next shot better than she can. Shes a dufus. Hey maybe I'm all wrong and she was just having a really bad day, but damm. I actually hope I'm wrong and she really is sweet and wonderful. But still she is a horrible announcer.

I went on the website link you provided and could not find it.
I went on Youtube and searched for "Ewa Mataya," "Knoxville," "Games and Things," but came up empty.

I can't access utube or FB from work, but I was looking at the utube clips last night from home. Just search for Ewa Mataya Laurance on utube. You'll know the ones from that event b/c the table color is Olive Green instead of the conventional green.
You have to click on the little blue FB link (denoted by a lower case "f" in a blue square)on the lower right of the Games & Things home page to see the event pictures. They were telling me the 5 challenger matches were going to be posted there as well as on utube, but as of last night, not yet. I was the last challenger to play Ewa. I put a picture from the event in one of my albums on my AZ profile.

Thanks. I will try to find it. I did seach for "Ewa Mataya" and "Knoxville" and "Games and Things," but I could not find anything yet. Maybe they have not uploaded them to YouTube. I will check it out later today and post the link if they do.
