Exotic Wraps

So I've worn out my linen pretty good on my player. I want to put something off the wall back on in it place. Ringtail, Stingray, elephant, but something that's a bit out there and different. I'd kinda like to stick to black, but I'd be open to another color if it goes good with tulip and ebony.

I'd like to see some pictures of some cues with exotic leather wraps, so I can get an idea of what to put on.

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

P.S. this is the cue it's going on.

I would go with lizard belly. They look and feel really nice but wear out over time :D

Any pics of lizard belly on a cue?

I'm not sure what area of the lizard this was cut from, but it is my favorite wrap bar none... Compared to elephant, the lizard wins hands down... It's soft as a baby's butt, has excellent moisture absorption, and feels almost padded a bit(It isn't). Boy how I wish this was a 60" cue...it would get played with more :grin-square:

I'm sure you know about Martin(jazznpool) and Superior Cues...He's got a very nice selection of exotic wraps to check out

Great cue by the way, good luck finding what you want!!

how about shark.it has a nice texture and feel.

Is shark and stingray fairly similar? I'm leaning toward lizard. Any pics of some cues with Shark or Stingray?

Roger, maybe you send me some shark in black too! I'll see if Keith can make it work!

shark ain't any good as a grip/ wrap... stay away from sharks...Keith cues r too good to be wraped with an un-even skin...toughest skin in the world..Dificult to work with...

I'm not a huge fan of elephant ear for a wrap. I think Lizard looks way better! I'm thinking some black lizard skin would be the nutz!!!

Here's an example of the lizard belly wrap

Here's a close up

Here's the seam part. Its not the best but you get the idea:thumbup:

The gloss on the wrap do wear off. Hope this helps.

Totally different.

Shark Skin wraps have the most rubbery grip of any leather wraps. They actually look pretty good and have excellent grip. If you buy a good piece better still pre cut piece they're as easy to work with as another other wrap, i've held at least 3 sharkskin wraps and they're good for sweaty palms and players who likes more grip. That said they have a pretty short shelf life, they don't last long as other leather wraps and they're texture wears off too. They're not very expensive either, definitely cheaper than EE or Lizard Belly.

They're nothing like stingray in terms of looks or feel. Stingray is nice and cool but i don't think it'll be a good grip for sweaty palms.

I think I have my heart set on lizard belly. It looks so bad ass on those other cues. :grin-square:
