the carpet installation got moved back a day, now saturday morning. the loveseat is green, so the cloth is going to be standard simonis green 860. i am on Orner's ToDo list, so hopefully by the end of next week i'll have the GCIV upstairs.

I strongly recommend that you go with Championship Tour Edition Cloth instead of Simonis. It plays a hair faster and wears much, much better. Especially if you plan on practicing jump shots and masse shots. The Simonis will get all nicked up with practically each and every jump shot, while with the Tour Edision all you will see is maybe some lighter-colored burn marks. Trust me...I had the Tour Edition...and then went with Simonis....and I'll never buy Simonis again.

I have been debating the same thing for my table. I think that I am going with the darker of those three blues!!

DCP......post up some pics when its done!!

Russ....

once the carpet is laid tomorrow i might be able to get some pics posted. still got to put the chair rail up, and get my loveseat delivered. the guy at the Sofas Plus store said they might not be able to get the loveseat up the steps since its only 36 inches wide.

here's some pics of the expansion project, including the light that everybody will make fun of. but thats ok, i dont mind, as long as i have enough light to see to play thats all that matters to me. besides, it only cost me $39. you can see the pics of Allison, Jeanette, and Gerda on the wall, as well as the Rat Pack. you can also see the chair rail that is now completed.

Orner's is coming down this saturday to move the table for me. due to the overabundance of blue i am having the Standard Simonis Green 860 put on the table.

Yep, looks good. But in the 2nd picture, why do you have two outlets under the window and under the picture??
Looks to me like one is an electrical outlet and the other might be some sort of coax connection....just what it looks like to me.

I would guess that they aren't both outlets. One is probably a TV jack, phone or maybe a data port.

Russ......

I noticed capelles tome on practicing pool. You need to use that book, that is why he put it in a spiral binding.

When you get the table in please post a video on youtube of your stroking technique. I want to see you play.

Best,
Marcus

Yep, I
m sure you are right. I can't make it out on my screen. I should have thought of that.

under the window, when i first moved in here i used window A/Cs, and one of those outlets was the 220V the electrical people recommended.

under the picture, one is an outlet, the other a phone jack.

and i am waiting to get my loveseat, hopefully soon, before i determine where the recliner and computer stuff is going to go. just have to see how much room i have to work with. having enough room for the GCIV is the top priority, ya know. i am allowing 5 feet from all sides of the table.

yes they are. did you notice the cuban cigars in there? anyway, a shipment from Mike's Cigars in Miami should arrive tomorrow (thursday) or friday.

this is my last night to play on my GCIV in my garage. have to go to the high school football tournament game tomorrow night, and wont get home in time to play any.

sure will be a sad day when i turn that light off tonight, knowing i wont be playing in there again after all of these years...........:(

DCP

that is, imo, effin awsome.

i'm pickin my nose while watching ducks/usc, and i'm absolutely positive everybody who reads this cares..

the GCIV sure does play different now that is has the new cloth on it. and so far the light seems to be getting the job done. with i would have put it about three inches closer to the wall/window though, i could use those extra three inches. how many times have i heard that?

gotta get some new batteries for the digital camera, then i can get some pics posted.

DCP

ok, here's some pics, hope they turn out decent. went with the standard green, but almost wish i would have had Powder Blue installed in spite of everything being blue.

funny thing about the light. when i stand back towards my kitchen area everything looks pretty bright. but when i am at the table usually one end seems kind of dark. but overall, i think i will get used to it, and it will be fine - considering it was only $40.
