I love the "show your work" shot. Does the cue by design unscrew just above the wrap or is that an in progress photo?

That is an impressive jump/break cue! I think I'd have to make it a player if it were mine, too nice for only break duty.
 
Thanks for all the comments. :) This one is set up as a break/jump with a Samsara tip. There are a few cool things about this cue besides the old wrap material. The wood is from a small stock of really old, dark pau ferro that Andy's had at his shop for years. And iirc, the inner brown veneer is actually a sapele veneer. In person it really has a pop, and jumps out at you. 7 total veneers in this cue.
