Extra Deflection on Mosconi Cup Table??

I saw a Facebook post today from Oscar mentioning how deflection is exaggerated at the Mosconi Cup due to the new slick cloth. I've never heard of this before. Can anyone explain what's going on here? I guess I don't understand how cloth can affect the amount of deflection.

Well, Nathan Wallace is a very strong player (731 fargo) and Oscar is obviously a pro. Are you claiming they are delusional?
never said that . don't put words in my mouth. i've played on new cloth a gillion times in the last 40odd yrs. Never noticed the ball squirting more. the slickness 'might' allow the ball to go down the squirt line a tad quicker but again, its gonna be tiny. first time we've heard a player make this claim so i'm still a lil dubious as to just what he said/meant.

He's exaggerating things a bit for drama. Follow don't work?? In what dimension is this table??😆
Overdraw?? One can only wish.😉 4" is tough, but ...
Who's this Wallace cat talking about deflects?? Must be good. One of them overthinkers.😉
Poking fun Nat!!

if you've never hit balls on a fast TV lit table its hard to describe. i hit balls on the tv table at derby one year and that thing was literally like a sheet of glass. so much different than the outer tables it was hard to believe.
I haven’t played on a TV table.
I did play at the 2010 World Teams Championships, and all the tables had a really slick and fast cloth (wasn’t Simonis), the balls were sliding on it as if we were playing on ice. Really tough conditions. But I did not feel added deflation.
