Extreme Outside English - Do you use it?

More heavy IE shots

This shot comes up occasionally. To get back toward to end rail or to circumvent an intervening OB that would prevent rolling through for position.

The same type of angle is sometimes played into a corner to bring the CB up table at a wide angle.

With a slight tweak, your system might be even more marketable to typical pool players:

Tons of Induced Throw Syndrome & Always Scratches System (TITS&ASS).

I'll buy the CD...
I'm sure this would sell better than any of my other DVDs, but my wife would probably not appreciate this sort of filming in my basement.

Sorry,
Dave :grin-square:

Let Ko Pin Yi demonstrate for us his extreme outside English (and draw).

Thanks for the great video NN. The shot at 1.08 that you linked to is the type of shot I mentioned earlier... the screw + outside to hold high poisition without touching the end rail.

There is a compromise factor on this shot that allows the best combination of draw and side, which limits the outside english to about 1/2 tip I'd estimate... not quite what I call heavy outside, but a great shot to watch when executed well.

The second shot after that was a great example of using heavy outside, to create an ideal around the world travel pattern with less speed on the CB than drawing with a touch of outside (TOO) would produce.

The shot I'm talking about in the post above can be seen here:
https://youtu.be/BpfHJKwhj-w?t=1m34s

The usual shot for this route is to use some draw and about 1/2 tip outside, but the center pocket is blocking the draw route and also, to get a nice angle for the CB to travel toward the 9 off 3 rails, heavy outside brings the double out of the far right corner at a steeper angle toward the 9. A shot worth learning.

Note that the commentator's telestrator prediction was way off. Even CJ couldn't have held the CB there without risking not making the pocket with the OB.
