Hey pool players,

what do you think about my new invention?
I was inspired by the magic eye of Joe Tucker,,,
I developped it further to help players learn

- how to go down in their SET position correctly
- to find their individual perfect position of their eye(s) over the cue,
- to find the exact center of the cue ball,
- to check if their alignment is straight and
- to check the straightness of their stroke.

The eyeliner can be used by players that sight with both eyes or with one dominant eye.

Will be released within the next days.
Video clip was done with a prototype-
The final product will be made with a high tech CNC machine- it is in production right now..

Given your SEE syste and how it works, how far behind could the "eyeshadow" product be?

I like it.. I personally love and use Joe Tuckers products esp The Magic Eye. With the lines showing all the way down the cue will add a little something. Keeps us posted when you release the product and you got yourself a buyer.

I have a practice shaft that has a 1/8" wide length of graphical tape running from the tip of the cue shaft down to the joint.

If you are not in line or finish incorrectly it sticks out like a sore thumb in your peripheral vision.

Good idea though

Thanks

John

I always thought I was right eye dominant (did the test - "look through...etc..at a distant object....etc...close one eye.......it turns out right eye, every time - I'm right handed too - so it was logical).

Always had problems with consistency, no matter what aiming system I used.

I now know why!

After using Ekkes's Eyeliner tool I discovered that when I position my right eye or my nose/chin on my cue I see several shafts, everything is blurry and neither is centered on the Eyeliner tool, but when I align my left eye on the cue and look through the Eyeliner, my cue shaft is perfectly centered in the Eyeliner. :) AWESOME!

Now I'm 100% sure I'm left eye dominant :)

Thanks Ekkes, this solves my lifetime pool mistery :)

I think you need a more masculine product name. :-)

Eyeliner in english is makeup that women use to highlight their eyes.

The thread name had me thinkng this was about a use for 'makeup' eyeliner to improve aiming somehow....

*Should have added that it looks like a useful tool, and put me on the list for one. :)

A good and simple idea.

Most great concepts are simple.

I like the way you think.

Success.

Great idea.

Do you sell the striped tape on the ground that goes to the aim line...just kidding.

I have used a laser pointer from the aim line to the floor and marked the spot to place my forward foot on or near depending.....

Tne image in your vid is monocular...what would a binocular image look like?

I might consider adding a bubble level to the tool to assure that it is perpendiular to the slate.

Thanks for the vid.

Very interesting, I like the concept, and may be able to incorporate it into my training.

I would recommend calling it EyeLine .... just me unsolicited recommendation. ;)

Thanks for all your feedback and interest in my idea!
For players that sight with both eyes the blue line in the center of the EyeLine(r) (like your recommendation CJ 😎) doubles up- so with binocular vision the player perceives 2 blue lines that frame the cue ball and the 2 black lines become 1 line that is perceived in the center of the cue ball when done correctly!

Other suggestions for a good product name?

The great thing is, that the player can use my UBC tool and the EyeLine(r)
together and learns how to get down correctly/ sight correctly/ finding center ball exactly and finding his natural body and upper arm position and correct individual front foot position using both tools combined in training!!!

Used the combo of both for several beginners and within 1 hour they were able to incorporate how to do it individually correct. They used it at home at the kitchen table for some minutes each day and 1 week later they looked like a poolplayer-

Real cool!

Will do a video of using both together too!
