So I play for my trip to vegas today, win the trip. Team decides to go to a mall and check out some team shirts. I drive my Jeep, me and my buddies cues are in the back seat foot area and I put some news papers and stuff over the cases to make them not visible from the outside. We go into the mall, have a bite to eat, look at some shirts.
Come back to the vehicle about an hour later and I turn the key in the lock and it turns too easy as if it is unlocked, I then notice the small corner window is broken with a big hole in it easy to fit a hand in and unlock the vehicle.
So my heart immediately drops into my stomach, I have a $4000 custom Bernie Mikkelson with 3 shafts and 22 carat gold inlays and two other cues, my buddy has about $2k in cues himself and I am immediately thinking they are long gone. I open the door and low and behold my cue case is there, I grab it and open it up not believing this, the cues are all there, my buddies case is there as well with all cues intact.
Cannot for the life of figure out what they took until an hour later I finally notice my cell phone which was dead and I left in a cup holder is gone. Contract expires on the 19th of this month and it was already canceled. Doubt the guy even had time to first find a charger, charge it, and then use it and now it is blocked.
So some guy smashed my window, unlocked the door, opened it, stole a uncharged canceled cell phone I could give a flying fig about, and they left over $6000 worth of cues sitting in the back that became a whole lot more visable once the door was open.
I am out a $100 repair on my Jeep and I am feeling like I just won the lotto.
