I am not saying they are not attractive cases, and I do like the Koi on the one case, and I am sure that these will sell...just doesn't seem right to copy Jack's basic design, is all. I am sure that I will not be the only one who feels this way.

Jack took Jay's design and made it his own, he said that in both the Ask the Cuemaker series and on the TAR interview. Now people like Brian Bonner and Cuemaster are taking some of Jack's elements and making it their own.
Really there are a lot of things that are different on these cases.
How about Ron Thomas? Didn't he copy Centennial, Fellini, and George? Engles took Fellini's basic design. Why is it ok for them and not for Cuemaster?
If you look at Jim Murnak's site you will see that he routinely uses elements from other case makers. But again, he makes it his own with the whole piece.
The Cuemaster people also have supported American cue makers to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. They have one of the largest collections of high end cues in Asia. If anyone has the right to start offering high end cases to the world it's someone who has a healthy background in high end cues and cases.
You might see a copy here but I see someone who has taken a basic design and taken it to another level completely.
Really this is unfair to Cuemaster to say it's a Justis knockoff. I think even Jack would have to agree that these are works of art in their own right.
I can't stand it, just when I get back into case making there are now more great case makers than ever. Actually it's fine. As long as there are 500 cue makers and 1000 brands of cues there will always be enough business for ten case makers.

So, are you going to rip all the guys selling Cokers for knocking off Southwest's designs? Or, is it because he's from Taiwan that causes a problem for you?JimS said:You come here trying to sell Justis knock-offs? You gotta be kidding..... or crazy..... or stuuuuuuupid.
Duce said:GOOD LUCK! Cuemaster cases! All you guys are just being mean on a new product and business and all ready judging without even owning one.
In addition: In regards to Copying Jack Justice case, it is irrelevant.
