bump

Bump, bump for the GREEN veneered Szamboti!!! I'm a HUGE fan of green veneers, can you tell? lmfao

Hi ken, my friend...

HI KEN

I guess my concern would be that there is no "letter of authenticity" included or mentioned. This is very important as the "GUS's" can be authenticated by Barry to confirm that this cue is an original. Please include a pic of the letter as I have seen in the past "you" personally have required the same, when considering purchasing.

Also any "x-rays" that you may have would be very helpful as well. ( I believe you've offered these in the past as well)

I left a PM.

pending? my azz, its a lock. when ken says its a szam its a szam no bones about it, besides i kinda know where he lives ;) thanks for the deal buddy this will look great in the collection, Ken has Barry look at them and it dosent get any better than that. The price i just paid is about right, Ken made his $$$ that he should, he is a good guy. he stays at my house in Vegas sometimes and is awalys welcome.

Want to trade the ring for the cue? ;)

i do let people play from time to time with my szams, i look at their cue and if its banged up then i dont and they have to be a B player too, then yes i will let people i know use them, it good for the cues and i believing in sharing. Gus and Barry are ledgends and people need to experience their work, locking them up in a safe isnt good for anything. I only have a couple szams I dont let others play with-I hardly play with them.

4 hours to sell a szam, who said the cue market is dead, its only dead for the wrong cues, a rambow went in less than an hour the other day.

The Ring!!!!!!!!! I Will Have To Find You A Big Cue For That!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol But I May Have One For The Rolax :'/

I'll double what you spent for it.....provided you spent less than 1k, total.

Since you don't know what the price was, it can't hurt to offer, right??!! :) :) ;)

Goes without saying, I'm just kidding. Congrats on the purchase. I love simple, classic styled cues...and your new Szam is every bit of a classic.

Enjoy, sir!!

Sir,

I, by no means, want to get into your personal business. It's none of mine, and I fully expect you to keep that kind of stuff private.

That said, though.....I'm not above hiring myself out for private personal security (I don't look like much...but I'm WIREY!!). The price for my protection services would be a measly 4-point Gus Szamboti!!

Such a deal.....it's too hard to pass up!! :) :)

Congrats again, sir.

Mark

what he paid doesn't really matter imo. it's a GS and there aren't anymore that will ever be made. i don't know him personally but his buying reputation proceeds him. when he wants something he doesn't hesitate. there was a price advertised in the first post, maybe he paid that, i dunno' but he saw it and now it's with him. congrats to him for recognizing, having the wherewithal and pulling the trigger on what anyone who saw it would have loved to have done...........now he just needs a nice Josey or two to round off his collection...;) :D Bill from Cornerstone has a really special one he's taken a look at....:)

i buy right most of the time, i will pay a bit more for something i really like that i'm going to keep. I am into most of my cues right, some real good-the SW's for example. I have seen a few cues that I passed on even though I really wanted them because the seller was trying to retire on one deal.

I look at it like this if I can get out of 80% of my cues about even and make $$$ on 10% and lose on 10% then i'm cool. I know they arnt liquid in some cases but I stick to the more liquid makers, I just sold 3 watches and had a great payday and rolled the $$$ into cues, I can make $$ on watches and have for years but I'm board with them, There is one Very expensive watch I will buy in the next year strictly as an investment. Cues are more for the love of them, and its fun to have a choice of what cue to play with, something I deamed of for years.

I'm not buying cues to lose or make $$$, if I do make some on something I sell all the better. I was a dealer before the internet so it was small time but I moved alot of wood and made a good profit on almost every cue-I would buy right. Now I'm putting together the Szams for the love of the cues-I have a plan when the collection is complete, it will be a while and it will be cool, and no I wont tell. ;) .
