letter of authenticity

if the guy was telling you that it was tulipwood, i'd protect myself and get a letter of authenticity saying that it is tulipwood, but more importantly, that is a tascarella.

im sure is a tascarella. i see pete every week @ the pool hall. i could ask him what type of wood it is @ the buyers request.

it is oak i talked to pete jr! but i can vouch that it is a tascarella and the owner kept it in excellent condition!! anyone who picks up this cue will not be dissapointed! good luck with the sale alex!

I've had a couple of ash cues and many oak Titlists. Didn't realize there was a type of oak that looked exactly like ash.

I've seen alot of English cues with this grain and they were ASH it really doesn't matter the main thing is it is a TASCARELLA and it will play GREAT! Good Luck with your sale! Ron

Did Dad or Son make it? If stated previously, I apologize for missing it. Thanks and bump for a very nicely priced Tasc

They can look very similar, especially if looking at a very small piece or picture. However, oak has a more regular grain pattern when looking at a larger piece, and ash is a bit more random, especially when looking at what I'll call the "rays." I would say this one is indeed oak.

Actually, I don't think they look similar at all. This looks like ash, oak looks like oak. But this piece could be an anomoly that happens to look just like ash.

Oak...ash...honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. I might have seen one other merry widow Tascarella for sale in the last few years, and I gotta say this one looks awesome!

For the money, someone will be getting a nice Tasc w/o breaking the bank!

Free sexy Santa bump.
