Hello Az Billiards, here is another fancy Jump cue completed today for a special customer. The cues forearm was made from a broken Helmstetter cue. The butt section is Macasar Ebony, with Pearlized and maple rings, and a Walrus Ivory Butt cap. The joint is 3/8-10 also with Pearlized rings that surround addition Walrus Ivory. The cue is 43" inch long with a Flat Laminated shaft, and Canvas Jump Break ferrule.

What a beautiful jump cue and a GREAT idea for a good forearm on a damaged cue. I often see damaged cues for sale and never thought of this as a great use for one.

Thanks for the kind words, the customers picked up the cue today. Before he left, Jumped a few balls with it, and like most of the Jump Breaks / Jump cues I build had to back off on his stroke a little. The ferrule design and joint design I use makes the cue ball airborne with very little effort. It also makes Jump - draw shots easier than with standard jump cues.

So while it looks pretty good, it is also very functional!!!!!

Thanks Joe, I totally agree that there is no better use for cues that can not be repaired then recycling them into a useful tool. I also am a very firm beleiver in thinking outside the box. I spent 23 years in the US Army, and on a number occasions thinking outside the box was the only way to complete the mission at hand. But even before that I have never been one who stayed between the lines.

Thanks for the heads-up but his is not made like mine, mine is solid and it is screwed into the shaft 1 1/4th inch deep not screwed to the tenon. Oh crap now the secret is out!!!!!!!!:D
