Hey Guys,
Here is classless seller on EBAY.. Screenname (winner942).
Here is the reference auction for a Fancy SW cue.. http://cgi.ebay.com/South-West-fancy-cue_W0QQitemZ260009207551QQihZ016QQcategoryZ21212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I emailed him my telephone# saying I would like to purchase his cue. He (Shane) called me back and said he would take $7000 on fast deal... I agreed to the price lastnight and was having him send it to Laurie at SW cues to do the deal... He also asked me to pay the shipping, which I said fine and was giving him my FEDEX# this morning.. I also asked him to end the auction...

Long story short.. YES, we all know what happens after this... I get a DEAR JOHN email from him later lastnight saying that a Local friend he's known for years showed up and paid cash... He (Shane) tried to tell me we didin't have a deal... Also mentioned his friend the actual owner of the cue was worried about sending it to SW cues, and thousands of people say they know Laurie... Whatever that means..

The moral to the story....
It's amazing that people will sell there self respect and reputation for a couple extra dollars..
I'm sure we will find out who actually purchased the cue from him... I wonder how much extra this guys word was worth..
Best,
Ken

Hey~ Not me. >_<!
I did show interests on this cue and emailed him after the auction started. He emailed me back with the same 7000 offer. I didn't do it though.

I've Had That Happen To Me A Bunch Of Times, That's Why I Only Stick To The Sellers I Know, Unless It's Something Cheap.

P.s. Ken,
Are You Going To Have A Booth At Valley Forge In August?

I had it happen on an old Rambow. Even paid the guy and had a Paypal receipt. He left the auction running while he was "getting my cue ready to ship". The auction went higher than my payment, and of course, I get the email saying he's decided to sell it to another bidder. I try to explain that he no longer owns the cue and I have a receipt. He basically tells me to pound salt. Gotta love transactions with FLAKES!!!

Ken,

It's unfortunate that integrity is hard to come by these days.

Sean

Sean,

So is the integrity issue, the trying to buy or sell off ebay, or the failing to follow through on the deal?

Happened to me also and surprisingly from fellow AZ members. When it comes to $, some people loose their integrity. Dave
