Question is, do you remember it?
Please spare me the bunk about responding....yada...yada... That schtick is getting old too.
1. Why would I say anything about that when what you said WAS laughable.
2, You only know what you have been told as it relates to pool & that is why you can not & do not understand so much.
You're like a cheerleader that has absolutely no understanding of the game for which they are cheering.
Is that why you made the exhaustive & senseless effort to go back & erased thousands of your old post?
Best Wishes for ALL.
WOW! Did you really just call me out?? :rotflmao::rotflmao: First off, you, the player that brags about playing for 50 years but never accomplished a single thing in all that time, never even reached a B player level, is stating that an established A player got there ONLY by what I have read. Yet, you want to claim that time on the table is everything, and one can not possibly get "there" by knowledge alone. So, which one is it??
You state that I have no understanding of the game. Here's your chance to back it up- you state what you have accomplished in pool, and then I will show what I have accomplished. Isn't it strange how a guy with no understanding of the game has accomplished far, far, far, more in the game than you have even been able to dream about accomplishing?
I have to hand it to you though, when you step in it, you do it head first and then stomp around in it.
Since i havent had the time to catch much jerry springer Im so glad to have az.
As usual you are completely off on nearly everything that you say...
& you say things that you have absolutely no knowledge of.
I do not know if you have issues with reading text or if you just have an aversion for the truth.
I knew the man of few words was too good to be true.
You have more twist & distortions in there than you had in your last 1/2 dozen posts before the one regarding Fran Crimi.
I know my prayers for you have not been answered but I will step them up starting tonight.
ALL Best Wishes for ALL.
As I suspected from you. Nothing to back up your statements, no discussion about it, just more insults for a reply. Wait, maybe I was too hasty in that statement..maybe you did try and post your accomplishments, but then got that note stating that a reply must have at least ten characters to be posted. If that is what happened, my apologies.
Even if do not post my list, you're back on ignore as I would suggest that all members do regarding you.
All you seem to do is throw out lines looking for emotional responses & there is a word for that on the internet & it begins with a T.

Ever considered just stepping away from AZB for awhile? It may do you some good. Just an idea.
Howdy folks -
Here's some good advice to help new players use real-world physics to control what they can do with the cue ball (from my book, "FAQs of Pool").

It's a good idea to share stuff l like this with them. We all need to ensure good competitors in the future!!! :lovies:
Good luck - shoot straight
No, you are wrong again, as usual. I'm not looking for an emotional response at all. I asked you to back up your statement about me. You know, the one that was nothing but insults. You don't want to discuss anything here. You have repeatedly shown that. All you want to do is diss what most instructors teach while claiming you aren't, and then insult anyone that doesn't agree with you. You aren't knowledgeable enough to actually discuss any of these topics. Which is why you keep diverting whenever asked to.

As usual... a very TRUE post & one that can be very helpful if one takes heed.
What you speak of is why I started spinning the CB at age 13 after seeing an elderly gentleman do so & coming up with easy shot after easy shot after easy shot.
It is also why I am glad that I saw that & started spinning the CB a few years before my first physics class.
IMO, as soon as one can pocket anything close to a spot shot they should start learning how to control the path of the CB & to MAKE it do what they want instead of letting it dictate the path by its natural tangent line, roll outcome, etc.
I have never checked for or looked for any '30*' natural rolling line.
As SS says the game rarely has runs where most if ANY of the shots should be played with 'natural' lines. As a player, one is almost always enhancing the line away from the 'natural' lines.
Anyway, Another Good & Truthful Post, Michael.
Best Wishes for You & Yours...& All,
Rick

Why do you keep quoting the OP? You made it very clear in the post quoted below and in another shortly after in response to Fran's post that you don't care about the tangent line or rolling CB line. So why are you even in this thread if it doesn't apply to how you want to play the game?
The thread, after all, is about using the tangent line. You don't care about the tangent line. I see no reason that you're even in this thread other than to do your usual trolling.
Now please, come back with more deflection and word twisting. Like I said, you're becoming predictable.
Threads are not for affirmative posts only...
& are not only for those trying to learn about a topic.
This is a discussion forum.
I do consciously use the 90* tangent line on certain occasions.
Why are you in this thread other than to troll me as you have been doing for hours?
All Best Wishes for ALL.

OMG it took Rick 60 posts to finally say that he uses the 90 degree tangent line on certain occasions.
I guess there is no more to discuss.![]()
While Mr. Sand is technically correct & Scott Lee is technically incorrect as he worded it, I understand what you mean here, but a small nit is that spin is a form of force that can put momentum onto the CB when 'mixed' with friction to garner traction.
In other words, if ALL of the momentum was transferred to the OB the CB would stop dead & have no movement, but ALL of the spin 'momentum' is not transferred to the OB so the spin that remains on the CB is what sends it in one of the two directions based on the spin direction.
Just I very little nit.
All Best Wishes for ALL.
If it is hit dead square with spin, the cb won't go anywhere. It will just sit there and spin.
