Fargo rate question

Well couple of weeks ago I saw Bar Tournment, close to home.

Went over to play, told TD I have not done Tournament in over 10 years.

Sad I am not listed in Fargo, he replied No Fargo No play.

I said I have my old AZ System Rating Card, pulling it out of wallet.

He repeated no Fargo, sorry.

Was it a max Fargo limited tournament?

What level?

Nope TD is God of Pool at his venue.

In my area, most weekly tournaments are allow new players and if it’s handicapped will assign them a provisional Fargo for the event based on available information (known ability, league handicaps etc). People have to get a robust rating by playing and if no one lets you play they will never add new players. Usually only bigger money events or low level capped events require a robust Fargo.

Good TD you have to go by the rules.

Good point We do need to hear more to have any decent input, and probably a flyer/advertisement would help. I was quick to jump the gun there.

Most TDs will say sure, you can play as a 550 or 600.

The app & online player search both have you at 576 with a robustness of 358.

You have to manually do that? Do your players use the BCAPL app?

Dont use the APP. I use LMS.
