Favorite CUE BALL? (single red dot, six red dot, or no dot)

I prefer the 6 dot cue ball, because it allows me to see what spin is applied whether intentionally or unintentionally.:idea2:

What about the red Aramith symbol, red circle, blue Aramith symbol, blue dot, and black Aramith symbol?

6 dot cue ball is my favorite for the spin factor too. Although when the ball is weighed, it comes out a tad heavier than other balls.

I like the ball that comes with (or used to come with) the Diamond Smart tables for the bar box.

My least favorite are the Diamond emblem cue balls, I think they're actually Cyclop, but the cue balls totally suck imo.

How about a coin-op bar box cue ball?

Keith

Which one as there are many.

I have the red circle Aramith, 6 dot TV ball by Aramith that came with my tournament set, Aramith logo magnetic for bar tables, standard one that comes with the premier Aramith set and a couple off brand magnetic bar table ones.

All of them weigh within a half a gram of each other and play about the same, except the off colored red circle Aramith. That one slides on the table better and is a little harder to get to follow.

I prefer the 6 dot to see the spin, but have been using the red circle lately as the place I frequent uses those exclusively and they do play differently.

Which ever one matches the numbered balls, as all the balls should be the same, as in a matched set.

I 'hate' the red circle ball as it is probably the most different & is different from every set of balls with which I have experience.

I've even found a short cut back bank shot that can not be made with centennial balls & a red circle CB... at least I could not make t with many tries but could easily do so with an Aramith Logo Ball.

All Best Wishes for ALL.

Speaking of this.......
There's a place I like to go to that uses the 6 dot measle ball on VALLEY barboxes!!!
With simonis 860 cloth as well. Best bar table fun I've had in a minute! Nobody has to slam the shot to get draw because there's no mud balls. **shout out to Georgetown billiards, Delaware**

I like the Measles Cue Balls that aren't knockoffs. But I also like the Red Triangle and the Blue Circle. I also like the Purple Aramith Logo bar table cue ball.

My least favorite is the Dynamo Red Dot followed by the Universal B, especially if either of these have had a few months under their belt.

Freddie <~~~ has them; hates them

Do they keep the tables "open"? If not, how do you get the measle ball back if you scratch?

Gideon<----Scratches like he has the Measles

Is there data that backs this up? My understanding was that the measles ball was the same weight as the Super Pros.

As we know, pool balls wear down with use, so when a hall replaces old cue balls with new measles balls, they would likely be heavier than the rest of the old (and worn down) object balls, but that would be the case if they used a new Aramith logo ball too.

As you know, the internet is just weird with all their "facts."

I'm sure there are knockoffs that are overweight, but the Measles ball I have is the same weight as my Red Circle, just like this guy's video shows.

Freddie <~~~ have scale, will travel

Concerning weights. I bought a year ago a new set of Aramith Tournament balls. I weighed the set individually along with my measles CB on a digital gram scale. Weight in grams:

1-15: Avg weight of 168.7; low of 168.1 to high of 169.2
Tournament set CB: 167.1
Measles CB: 168.5

So very insignificant weight differences. Now I bet many of the pool rooms red circle balls are significantly lower in weight (and circumference) due to the extensive play - probably 160 or below.

If I'm playing with Centennial balls, I prefer the blue circle Centennial cue ball.

If I'm playing with Aramith Super Pro's, I prefer the measle ball.

If I'm playing with Cyclop balls, I prefer the Cyclop cue ball. Either the old one or the newer single dot ball. The new one plays decent, actually a bit more like the measle ball than the old one. But they both are ok. I think the single dot one would be better on a 9 footer.

Don't like the red circle (its a total odd ball, literally). Don't like the Aramith Super Pro (red logo) cue ball with any ball set. With the Aramith Super Pros it is the least annoying.

If I am forced to use a bar table ball, the purple logo aramith is by far the best.

red circle is odd ball....can draw the snot out ofit playing wth centennials....i know i know its supposed to be x weight...but imop and many ive heard its "light" can draw well, but lacks punch trough in same fashion for follow....

possibly only metaphysical.....

the ASP is poo.....green logo arimith is poo squared.....purple its not teletubby purple gay, and is god compared to the green poo varitey that chunks off pieces like its on meth weightwatchers or something

used ivory once on billliards....pretty sweet....too big and diff to make cmment, but i was at least temporarily in love due to insanity lol....would love toplay pool with a whole ivory set at least once one day....probably will never happen...a man child can dream though
