Favorite South West Wood Combinations???

Skins,

Sounds cool. I wish you had pictures of it!

I had thought that 2 dark woods with no veneers might make a nice look, but have not seen many of them. I don't like the black on white look as it's almost too sharp, but I think 2 dark woods would be very rich looking.

what made that cue so nice was the fact that the grain on the coco was so odd looking. it seems like from my description that you might not be able to see the points but there was just somethin' about they way the grain was that just let you know that it wasn't just an ebony cue. "rich" looking is exactly the word that would describe that cue and yes i wish i had pic's of it too.

for the last 2.5 years I've had over 30 sw cues and was looking for the ultimate look together with playability.
Here is my favorite- actually it's a DPK but we're talking about wood combo, right :)

Beautiful cue. What are the woods?

Also, did Ernie (Ginacue) put on the leather wrap? It looks like his with those double indentations around the top and bottom of the wrap.

Thanks to all who posted on this thread.

If you guys remember, or run across any more, please be sure to post them!

I will never be able to get over missing the sale on this all-high SW tulipwood into ebony, now in Chady's personal collection.
