Fedor Gorst on the Joe Rogan podcast today

on a side note, boyes' youtube channel the other day had a vlog where he and phil yates discussed celebrity pool matches. iirc boyes, who has played with joe rogan recently, said he thought joe would probably beat andy goldstein, but that manny pacquiao would beat them all. don't know who the fourth celebrity they discussed was

Well, interestingly enough, if Matchroom Pool decides to move the U.S. Open Pool Championship to Texas, Joe Rogan lives in a lakeside mansion in Austin.

It would be pretty doggone cool if Joe Rogan played in the 2026 U.S. Open Pool Championship. In fact, it would be great for pool. I think Joe would also really enjoy it, and he'd definitely know many of the players.

Fedor is all class. He is a generational talent who seemed a little quiet before he came to speak English so fluently. Now, he is outgoing and congenial. He richly deserves all the attention that he receives. I wish him continued success as he paves his way toward the BCA Hall of Fame.

They could definitely use Kevin Hart sitting front row watching his brother play. Everybody knows who Jeanette Lee is also, if they had more celebrities sitting front row the game might gain some attention. Im sure there's plenty of sports ball players that might go the last day - semis and finals

Instead we have half the people sleeping and another third on their phones

I have always said that a celebrity doubles charity match between a team of Joe Rogan and Earl Strickland against Efren Reyes and Manny Pacquiao would make a ton of money on PPV and for a deserving charity of some sort.

that's a great idea. then get it to netflix or something

i the meantime, consider how big a boost just having fedor on joe's podcast potentially is. joe has around 10x the viewers/listeners than FOX, and 30x what CNN has..

Fedor's gotta go best foot (bets foot? lol) forward until he gets established and accepted; something I think he's aware of. I think that provides positive channeling as far as learning pool goes.

Bets Foot Forward - should be on t-shirts.

i think he is rather established already. interesting that he has a cameraman on payroll following him around, streaming his matches etc. must be a considerable cost, but probably worth it. funny thing is he's just doing what he was doing as a kid, when he and maksim rigged a camera and streamed "the billiard brothers", practice sessions, interacting with followers etc.

Established in the pool community for sure. Although, without tenure - earned respect etc..., it's no walk in the park.
