I think you may be confusing correlation with causation. They may have a better break BECAUSE they're a better player. All a good break is is power, accuracy and consistency.

few times the pool players in streaming matches are putting up most of their own money. and even the private matches that are large bets its rare for one to be betting more than a say a quarter of the total bet with his own. most are staked fully with no downside.
 
Backers give a part of their winnings to the player for sure + the personal amount that the player bet is nice amount for him.
 
unless the player has an edge greater than what the backer give him. then the backer is a sucker and will be out money in the long run for sure.

which is the case in most backer player deals.

Actually, yes. I have won on a very limited sleep schedule. Not pool, another sport. Generally everyone in the same competition gets around the same amount of rest. Cant watch the FB content interview as my fricken account got hacked a few weeks ago, its an absolute joke trying to make headway with FB on the subject.

Shane will play Filler in 9 ball but he thinks ten ball is the better game for professionals to play. Shane will play any game that his backer likes. There is zero reason for svb to be scared of any other human in any pool game on a nine foot table.

if "shane will play filler in 9b", the match would've already happened. they've been trying to get this match to happen for years and that the discipline has been the deal breaker.
