You suck.

just kidding.
Hi, John :-)

some people will actually
find this funny

The Fury site....I like it....simple, direct.....while I personally really like the black, it may deter from getting a good pic/view of the cues....they might match up better, still utilizing the black background, but having the cue in a small white box background.....I couldn't see them as well as I would like....

Like it....simple, point and shoot, got the info I needed....the pics along the sides are a nice touch....looks professional, I'd feel comfortable making a purchase...

The Blaze site.....seems it's made to cater to a.....um....an "alternative" crowd, or possibly more towards feminine females.....I would not purchase nor choose to go back, but that's because it doesn't carry products that catch my eye, nor colors for that matter....it doesn't seem as user friendly either....less detail.....

The Fury site is awesome, great info some outstanding pictures, very easy to get around. The Blaze site just doesnt jump out at you like the Fury site does. I too think the Blaze site might seem a bit on the feminine side with a choose a color theme. I rate Fury a 10... Blaze a 6.

They look pretty good to me. Here are my comments :

Fury :
- I don't like red text on a black background, it's difficult to read
- The warranty statement made me say "hmmmmm ... how does one know if they are satisfied with the cue if they are not allowed to use it without reducing the warranty coverage of replace or refund" ... here is the excerpt :

"Any Fury cue are also satisfaction guaranteed and may be returned to the retailer within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange as long as it has not been used or otherwise damaged. "

The grammar is also a bit off ("Any Fury cue are ..." should be "Any Fury cue is ..." or better still "All Fury cues are...")

Blaze ... what's with all the "z"s ... remember John, I'm getting old and am not so hip to the hop or whatever anymore, so maybe I'm just not the target market.

I don't like the blaze site. The colors and the "wordz". Although I do see why you made it colorful (different color cues). Still, too "powerpuffy" for me. The other parts like layout is ok. The fury site, well I don't like black backgrounds on pages. So other than that, it's good.

Yeah, I like the Fury site. Good information and pics. A minor detail, but I don't like the "Bookmark" link on the front page. It's an eyesore, and people don't need help with bookmarking. If you find that it actually helps promote the site, then I stand corrected.

I caught a few typos. On the "Hit" page, you spelled "Consistency" wrong. Under Purchase, "With out 20+ years..."

Thank you everyone. I have made some of the changes to Fury.

On Fury we will be adding and image gallery with images from the many events we have attended. There are many pictures of folks that are unidentified. So I will let you all know when that's up and perhaps you can help us to put the right captions with each photo.

For Blaze, ok I probably went overboard on the "street slang" and the fruity colors. I was trying for kind of an Apple type of feel with the site. I will need to revise that idea. I know it's really light on descriptions as well but I didn't know how that would go over. Now I know, thanks! More descriptions are fortchcoming.

And if you all aren't tired of being my focus group yet there is one more that we just brought on line yesterday - www.sterlingcue.com if anyone cares to critique it.

Thanks a lot!

John,
My humble opinion is that I really like the marketing concept behind your web sites.
I have to be honest with you. I have never visited the Fury site until now, and I also have to be honest with you, that I am impressed.
I am impressed by the marketing direction you have chosen. I like the concept behind your Fury site.
I also like the emphasis on "experience", I think that is so often overlooked by other companies. Experience marketing is something I have done a lot of studies on myself.
I really like how you said you wanted to prove others wrong, that you could build a cue as good as the custom cues, for a fraction of the price. I am not saying I would agree, but I think this is a very smart approach in terms of marketing--it appeals not only to the public looking for a good cue at a lower price, but it also has an emotional impact on those who are fed up with paying for cues they consider overpriced--they want to support you because of what you try to achieve.
I do not know if your market like to read, or prefer to look at pcitures and videos. If it is the latter, then may be your message cannot get through to them very effectively. For me, I like to read, and I think your approach has very good potential. Execution of the idea is a personal preference--I woud not have done it the way you did, but it is just a matter of personal preference.
I like your market approach though. I think you are someone who thinks outside of the box, and Scott is very fortunate to have you.
I am not sure about the Blaze cue site, although I think you have found a nice niche market--and if you do it right, you can target at this niche and make a brand name among them. I am not sure if I know the demographic of this niche you are aiming at, so I cannot say if the site is good or bad. For one thing, I am totally not the target of Blaze, so just because I do not like it does not mean it is not good. You might want to do more marketing research to find out the favorite color, style..etc, of your niche market. This target might not visit Az at all.
About the Sterling site, I think it is very professional. I did not go into the cues, because it is frankly, not really what I would buy for myself. But then I am not your target market, and it is just my humble opinion.
I think it is a professional site, which reflects the professional image of Sterling well.

They are both well designed but what's with the "whatz" and the words ending in Z on the blaze site? I mean I kind of get it, BlaZe and ending in Z...cute....but I dont know, I personally don't like it, that just me though....

Well designed though, good work

I love the sterling site. However, I don't like the idea of filling the homepage with tons of words. I'd suggest keep it simple, with a few words and pictures. I do love the cues that you chose for the homepage (the three on the right)
