Female cue makers?

The Queen of cues has to be Laurie Franklin of south West cues,who has always been the driving force behind the South West cues,she has always selected the woods,run the business,make the decisions,run quality control and kept the south west cues at the top of the heap.

If there is anyone who can tell the difference in cues before and after Jerry passing away,I would be more than surprised and willing to bet thet couldn't.There is a reason for the 9 year waiting list.

The young widow has honored Jerry in every way possible and probably run the cue business even better than it was.

Male or female,Laurie is the best in my book

I visited with Lourie Franklin, at her old house, that has been turned into the Southwest shop, a few years ago. She told me that she had never done any of the work on cues, but had always run the business end. In fact the living room was her office. A back bedroom is a wood storage room & where the inlays are done. The kitchen, is still the kitchen. The main portion of the "shop" is a 2 car garage. A nephew was in charge of the cuemaking. There was a teenager working there part time & one full time worker...JER
