In my very short span of doing repairs for myself and my team mates, I've done quite a few ferrule installs and/or replacements.
I have a team mate that has a 5280 sneaky pete cue and wants to make this his dedicated break cue, he has requested that I install a G10 ferrule/tip combo on the stick for him, SO...... here in lies my question.....
The ferrule currently on the shaft is a short ferrule. When installing a new G10 ferrule, should I leave it short like what is already on the cue OR do I turn the shaft down and install a longer 1" ferrule ????
What is the PROPER/CORRECT way of doing such a task ???
