uh... first off, you shouldn't be sanding down a cue shaft if you don't know what you're doing. If you've reached the tenon then you have to get a new shaft and that's pretty damn thin. A tenon is usually 5/16 of an inch. Why would you sand down ur shaft like that? That's roughly the diameter of a drinking straw for those of you that don't know.

Hi Travis---Were you able to sand the ferrule down to the same size as the top of the shaft? If not be very carefull....the bottum edge of the ferrule is probably ragged and sharp which may cause an injury. You might try wearing a catchers mitt on your bridge hand if the bottom of the ferrule is not flush to the shaft.
At the size that I envision the the shaft it might still be playable (shooting marbles) as long as you put a MOORI SOFT on it. Be sure to keep it chalked well and don't forget.......NO HUNCHIES!!!!;)

I can't imagine anyonbe sanding a shaft down that much. Why would you do that? If you are going to keep abusing the shaft you may as well try a slip on tip.

I'll bet you're just dying to get a new cue-tech shaft. Maybe even one with paint on it. :p

Don't you know that you are supposed to stroke your shaft with a slippery glove instead sand paper.

Fishing Pole?

Go with the new shaft. Contact the folks at Cuetech and I'm pretty sure they will help you get shafted.

What I'd like to know is HOW you sanded the doggone shaft down to the tenon... However, if this isn't a joke, and is for real, why don't you just cut about 3 or 4 inches off the shaft and install a new ferrule and tip, unless the whole shaft is super thin, in which case you may want to use the shaft as a spit for a shish kabob.
