Not sure what sizes one would need but you can email me for details. Some is Western quilted and some is western curly. Looking for builders to sell to possibly on a regular basis. Some of this is killer wood ! Taking offers. scottfletcher2004@yahoo.com

Most cuemakers use hard maple(acer saccharum) in their cues. What type of maple are you offering?

Rodney

he is offering Big Leaf, which needs a core, imo.some guys won't use it at all,but i actually like it.it really isn't as far off Hard Maple as some think.i have used it 3 times in cues cored as a handle and all 3 hit and played very well.

we need pics and prices though.i will buy some Quilted if it is 4A or better and reasonably priced.

Can you please post pictures? I have a friend that makes cues and this may be something I might possibly be interested in....

Ok guys I was out of town fishing for a week ! Anyway, I will get some pics for viewing, Photobucket was down for me today. Quilt, curly, and curl/ burl combination. The wood is all air dried. It varies in sizes but I can cut it down. I leave all my wood in raw sizes until in needs to be cut in order not to waste it. Some of it is all the way dry and some is not, it just varies.

Question for any wood experts....how long would these woods need to further air dry before it would be OK to use in a cue?

Joe,if you cut them up into pool cue sized squares it will dry pretty fast.if the wood is already pretty close to dry as he says, probably a few months is all you would need to wait.if it is not already partially dried you should probably cut it up to squares and wait a year.
