IMO watching any filipino plays will teach you how to do their type of stroke, they are all similier to each other. as mike sigel used to call it a Pump stroke. specially watching EFren reyes.
Ok to be honest, It's just my own opinion but I think that this stroke have Pros and Cons on it. when you learn it right you will have a incredible feeling on your cueball and you will gain a real nice touch on the balls, you will be able to do stuff that you would never do in any other stroke. but the bad thing about it (AS I see it) if you are not feeling well or a bit struggling in running out or shooting bad, you will Jump up after shots, it will be hard for you to stay down after the shot. and it's extremly will happen for you under pressure, in tournoments, Gambling games.
you will find out that you're shooting and jumping after shots & missing them, also this will happen in an older age >.<
you can see this in the old filipino players, even efren is doing it a bit more now adays.
Thats my own analyse, haven't read it anywhere and nobody told me about it before. Its just how i see it.!
