Final Day US Open 2017 Updates

Ruiz looks like a clone of David Alcaide, which is not a bad thing. He plays as fast as Kaci does slow. In the last game he got down on the seven ball and let fly without one practice stroke and miscued. Kaci won the game to tie it up at 5 all, instead of being down 6-4. Ruiz not only lost the game, he lost his momentum as well.

That's a great observation. Nerves hits everyone.

Alcaide does not play fast and he's actually careful unlike your description of Ruiz. I've never seen Alcaide miscue or one stroke.

I wasn't referring to his speed of play, more of how he looks at the table, his mannerisms and his stance when he gets down on the balls.

Are any AZB-ers at the US Open? It's been 25 years since I lived in eastern VA. I kind of wish I was there.

Kaci putting the hammer down.

Shaw will need to keep his patience when they play or Kaci will do the same thing to him.

haha, spoke too soon - Kaci just missed the 8 ball with only 2 balls to go to win!

Kaci wins! Going to the finals.

This is the first time that I've watched either of these young men play. Both are great players.

the kid's pace could drive Shaw mental, lol
amazing final coming up
I'm really interested to see how these players handle each other. It's not like Shaw hasn't dealt with slow players before but Kaci's overall table presence is like his mirror image.

Has there ever been a teenager in the finals before?
...seems like US Open history to me.

Are you saying that Kaci's table presence is like a mirror image of Shaws?

If so, I'm respectfully disagreeing.

I think they're night and day different.

imo

best,
